Taken this late Summer early Fall I added a texture layer and was happy with the results. Sorry I know I'm posting a lot of pics right now but I have so many and just feel like I need to get some out there! But if you leave a comment I WILL visit you!! (I still can't figure out why on some images the EXIF data shows and some it doesn't I'm not trying to hide it.)

Late summer is my favorite time to visit the moorlands, rich colours and the light create a unique atmosphere. Blavand, Jylland, Denmark
Last weekend in the Cascade Mountain foothills before the forest fires broke out. Feeling bad for so many impacted and the likely toll on wildlife.
Something different for a change. Straight out of the camera, no toning, white balance 5000, just before sunset. The diffused look was created by running the photo through Photoshop.
Re-edited 2022
march is a tough month in wisconsin, as we get no signs of spring. but there are still brown flower husks in sunset light. and for now, that is enough.
... barely seen a butterfly this summer, but yesterday I caught this one in my front yard ...

Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night’s decay
Ushers in a drearier day.

Eastern Great Egret (Ardea modesta)
After a while the Egret decided it had spent enough time with the Heron (see yesterday's image) and took off for a spot further down the irrigation channel.
Dear friends, a last photo to say "See you later", because we will be moving to another house.
A lot of work has to be done before our new home will be ready. I'm off for several weeks, but I will be back ;-))
Meanwhile best wishes and please take care, stay healthy and safe.
PS this photo shows the construction of an university building ;-)

My first day chasing the AZCR yielded several winning shots despite an hour late departure from Drake. BNSF dropped a solid cut of loaded coal for the Clarkdale Cement plant the previous night, which made for some scenes almost out of an old western movie along the old Santa Fe Clarkdale branch. The three first generation GPs are seen pulling the unit coal train from the interchange beginning their 38-mile trip through the desert.
