Never has the metaphor “through the looking glass” been more appropriately applied to Vegas than it is in this week’s winner, brought to us by @Fox5vegas. In addition to the massive amounts of “only in Vegas” experiences, it also has many things you can find elsewhere. But here, they are slightly askew with some special Vegas magic. Case and point, Mon Ami Gabi and their outdoor dining overlooking the strip and featuring an epic spot to view the fountains of Bellagio. Whatever it is, it's more special in Vegas including the reflection of a neon sign in a puddle.
I made this Vegas themed cake and cupcakes for a casual wedding reception after a couple got married in Las Vegas. Cake has playing cards (King and Queen of Hearts), poker chips in four colors, dice, an American roulette wheel and the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. Cupcakes were decorated with their own edible poker chips.

Ayumi & Eric came all the way from Australia to get married in the 108 degree weather of Las Vegas! We started out at the Neon Sign Graveyard near downtown Las Vegas. The actual wedding ceremony was held at the Bellagio, my old stomping grounds. In case you didn't know I used to be a wedding photographer at the Bellagio.

Copy of the famous Las Vegas sign, except for the reference to Route 66 on top. The sign is right next to a Steak N Egger that has all kinds of Route 66 items.

Founded in 1996, the Neon Museum is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying andexhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic andcultural enrichment. The Neon Museum campus includes the outdoorexhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard, a visitors' centerhoused inside the former La Concha Motel lobby and the Neon BoneyardNorth Gallery which houses additional rescued signs and is availablefor weddings, special events, photo shoots and educational programs.
Due to the nature of our collection, the Neon Museum Boneyard is onlyavailable to the public through an hour long guided tour. Tours areavailable seven days a week and tour times vary based on the season.
Dedicated individuals from the private sector, as well as corporateand government entities, worked collaboratively to promote thepreservation of these national treasures as significant pieces ofartistic and historical importance. Each of the nearly 150 signs inthe Neon Museum's collection offers a unique story about thepersonalities who created it, what inspired it, where and when it wasmade, and the role it played in Las Vegas' distinctive history.

This Las Vegas landmark was first designed in 1959 by Betty Willis and Ted Rogich. It has been moved several times and its current location, just south of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, is considered by many as the southern end of "The Strip."
