Unicode represents the Tower ob Babel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel In computing, Unicode is an industry standard allowing computers to consistently represent and manipulate text expressed in most of the world's writing systems. Developed in tandem with the Universal Character Set standard and published in book form as The Unicode Standard, Unicode consists of a repertoire of more than 100,000 characters, a set of code charts for visual reference, an encoding methodology and set of standard character encodings, an enumeration of character properties such as upper and lower case, a set of reference data computer files, and a number of related items, such as character properties, rules for normalization, decomposition, collation, rendering and bidirectional display order (for the correct display of text containing both right-to-left scripts, such as Arabic or Hebrew, and left-to-right scripts). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UniCode

Kannada is the State Language of Karnataka. Kannada - aptly described as 'sirigannada' (known to few as Kanarese) is one of the oldest Dravidian languages and is spoken in its various dialects by roughly 45 million people worldwide.
The Kannada language has been spoken for about 2500 years, with the Kannada writing system being in use for about the last 1900 years. The initial development of the Kannada language is similar to that of other Dravidian languages, notably Tamil and Telugu. During later centuries, Kannada, along with Telugu, has been highly influenced by Sanskrit vocabulary and literary styles.
Kannada is a highly inflected language with three genders (masculine, feminine, neutral or common) and two numbers (singular, plural). It is inflected for gender, number and tense, among other things.

Can any of you help a friend of mine with this poem? It is on a house wall, in the Netherlands, and it seems to me to be Thai or some Indian script.
A hint about the poem title and the poet's name would be very useful. I am assuming that once a native speaker of that language reads the poem, s/he will be able to do a search in Google or something, and find out what it is.

This picture symbolizes the way brands play upon language. Where in Japan they include English in a variety of their snacks, here I have an example of an English product labeled with Japanese. It is interesting because on one hand the majority of people won't even know what it says if it says anything meaningful at all. On the other perhaps language is also a symbol of authenticity? The fact that it's not meant to be read but to be understood to symbolize a culture.
