There is a splendid exhibition at the Wolfsonian, but they're very restrictive and don't allow photographing. They had made an interesting collection of (mostly) posters in the lobby, so I had a go at them…

Fack off.
I was laughing about some plump old bloke in a local shop, who was 'having a go' at a young guy; hard to explain why. In his mind he was still handy.
The geezer to the left in this picture, only thought about doing the same to me.

UNICODE 5.1.0 meets Or-Omcode∞.1.0
Unicode represents the Tower ob Babel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel In computing, Unicode is an industry standard allowing computers to consistently represent and manipulate text expressed in most of the world's writing systems. Developed in tandem with the Universal Character Set standard and published in book form as The Unicode Standard, Unicode consists of a repertoire of more than 100,000 characters, a set of code charts for visual reference, an encoding methodology and set of standard character encodings, an enumeration of character properties such as upper and lower case, a set of reference data computer files, and a number of related items, such as character properties, rules for normalization, decomposition, collation, rendering and bidirectional display order (for the correct display of text containing both right-to-left scripts, such as Arabic or Hebrew, and left-to-right scripts). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UniCode

5th and 6th Grade Language Arts students are currently reading My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George. The book tells the tale of a teenage boy living in the Catskill Mountains who raises a falcon hatching to help him hunt. On Monday, students experienced falconry first-hand through the educational program Talons! A Bird of Prey Experience. Lorrie from Talons! shared a variety of raptors with the students and talked at length about their behavior, both in the wild and as companions to humans. During lunch, all students were invited to the gym to watch the birds fly.

Salerno is a city and comune in Campania (south-western Italy) and is the capital of the province of the same name. It is located on the Gulf of Salerno on the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Salerno is the main town close to the Amalfi Coast, and is mostly known for its Schola Medica Salernitana, the first medical school in the world. In the 16th century, under the Sanseverino family, among the most powerful feudal lords in Southern Italy, the city became a great centre of learning, culture and the arts, and the family hired several of the greatest intellectuals of the time. Later, in 1694, the city was struck by several catastrophic earthquakes and plagues and afterwards a period of Spanish rule which would last until the 18th century. After that, Salerno became part of the Parthenopean Republic and saw a period of Napoleonic rule.
In recent history the city hosted the King of Italy, who moved from Rome in 1943 after Italy negotiated a peace with the Allies in World War II. A brief so-called "government of the South" was then established in the town, that became the "capital" of Italy for some months. Some of the Allied landings during Operation Avalanche (the invasion of Italy) occurred near Salerno. For mor info see:
