All kindergarten through 5th grade classroom teachers and ELL teachers attended a professional development session lead by national teaching artists on March 21st. They worked with arts integration strategies centered around the Music of Language. Teachers tried the interactive strategies throughout the session as they used their bodies to keep a steady beat while manipulating language.

The Des Moines Botanical Garden was home base for K-2 teachers attending the third and final session of the arts integration PD series that's aligned with the K-5 EL literacy curriculum.

This old poster was a nice surprise in a British-themed pub in downtown St Pete. The reflection of a wall light forced me to phot it at an oblique angle, but here's a chance to boost my Welsh vocabulary.

Cursing in a language other than your mother tongue will inevitably lead to such hilarious results as this.I think though that one gets the general gist, and it does appear that the"artist" was running out of paint toward the end of his "work".(spotted in a quaint little backstreet in the old part of Rethymnon in Crete.)

Being an international school, there were students from all over the world

at NUFS, meaning there were more languages than just Japanese and English.

Although this was the English language lounge, there were often people who

spoke French, Spanish, German, Korean, Chinese, and so on as well. Being

able to communicate with all of these people, despite having been raised

learning different languages, changes the way one thinks about

communication and how to use language to do so.

In Guinea, the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, with the support of UNICEF, is using the voice call and SMS vaccination in the different local languages to remind mothers and caregivers of their children's immunization schedule.

The Republic of Guinea has a population of approximately 13 million, including 530,466 children targeted for immunization in 2022, spread across the country's four natural regions. The vaccination programme is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Health, whose objective is to reach at least 95% of children aged between 0 and 18 months to protect them against vaccine-preventable diseases such as tuberculosis, measles, poliomyelitis, yellow fever, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type b and meningitis
