Being an international school, there were students from all over the world
at NUFS, meaning there were more languages than just Japanese and English.
Although this was the English language lounge, there were often people who
spoke French, Spanish, German, Korean, Chinese, and so on as well. Being
able to communicate with all of these people, despite having been raised
learning different languages, changes the way one thinks about
communication and how to use language to do so.

UNICODE 5.1.0 meets Or-Omcode∞.1.0
Unicode represents the Tower ob Babel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel In computing, Unicode is an industry standard allowing computers to consistently represent and manipulate text expressed in most of the world's writing systems. Developed in tandem with the Universal Character Set standard and published in book form as The Unicode Standard, Unicode consists of a repertoire of more than 100,000 characters, a set of code charts for visual reference, an encoding methodology and set of standard character encodings, an enumeration of character properties such as upper and lower case, a set of reference data computer files, and a number of related items, such as character properties, rules for normalization, decomposition, collation, rendering and bidirectional display order (for the correct display of text containing both right-to-left scripts, such as Arabic or Hebrew, and left-to-right scripts). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UniCode
Or-Omcode∞.1.0 represents a new Universal Language de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universalsprache derived within the Doctine Of Essense by

‘If you want to enter into their world, you should understand and know their language’-
This is an old saying about children and this is the way of interaction between the children and the teachers in White Fields Nursery.
‘Tell me the number you were able to toss with the ball’, this was the game today. Children enjoyed playing a target toss game of numbers, which focussed on their gross motor skills and numeracy as well.
In addition to that, children had a flower Math game puzzle, and they completed the flower according to the numbers.
They had so much to do with numeracy today and stuck the numbers on caterpillars, during the numeracy class to learn numbers.
They were involved in the color game, focusing on their identifying skills. Foot print hopping was great for coordination and balancing. They were so creative in collaging feathers on the UAE national bird.
To enhance their literacy skills, they learnt about Phonic ’N’ and its vocabulary.
Today’s Science Activity focused on STEM-Learning.
An excellent learning experience again…

Weary of all who come with words, words but no language. I make my way to the snow covered island. The untamed has no words. The unwritten pages spread out on every side! I come upon the tracks of deers' hooves in the snow. Language but no words... -tj
English, the language — it's a funny old thing!
I've fallen behind. After the dead heat in the race for the season's first tomato, life got in the way of posting the ID of the other of the joint winners. There was the roses and vines which needed tidying, green waste to be either shredded or taken to the tip for upcycling because it's the weekend, the bird netting which needed to go up on raspberrries, riesling grapes and apple espaliers against possums and currawongs, the female koël changing the game by stealing jostaberries, kimchi, there was Leigh and Annabelle, pizza and a Nobel Laureate. Life: it's complicated. English is little better.
Back to that photo finish. Ah, remember photo finishing? No, no, not the sporting kind. The kind after you'd loaded your film in the tank. The developing and washing and all that, the enlarging, burning and dodging by hand, the artistry in that, more wet bits and pieces then finally after all that, running your precious print through the glazing machine; the photo finishing. No, I guess not. The iPhone doesn't have that app.
Here it is: the joint winner. No, no it didn't win a joint. And what's a joint, anyway? The second of my first tomatoes is kotlas a.k.a. sprint.
Yes, this is why there are both calmart and kotlas in my tomato beds in this preternatural chilly season. Perhaps the main crop and indeed the chilli varieties will fail. But these troopers will do their bit, just there; they're reliable where others might shiver and falter.
Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (22 April [O.S. 10 April] 1870 – 21 January 1924), better known as Vladimir Lenin, was a Russian revolutionary, politician, and political theorist. He served as the first and founding head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 until his death in 1924, and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. Under his administration, Russia, and later the Soviet Union, became a one-party socialist state governed by the Communist Party. Ideologically a Marxist, his developments to the ideology are called Leninism.
Born to a schoolteacher's family in Simbirsk, Lenin embraced revolutionary socialist politics following his brother's 1887 execution. Expelled from Kazan Imperial University for participating in protests against the Tsarist government, he devoted the following years to a law degree. He relocated to Saint Petersburg in 1893 where he became a senior Marxist activist. In 1897, he was arrested for sedition and exiled to Shushenskoye in Siberia for three years, where he married Nadezhda Krupskaya. After his exile, he moved to Western Europe, where he became a prominent theorist in the Marxist Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (RSDLP). In 1903, he took a key role in the RSDLP ideological split, leading the Bolshevik faction against Julius Martov's Mensheviks. Following Russia's failed Revolution of 1905, he initially campaigned for the First World War to be transformed into a Europe-wide proletarian revolution, which, as a Marxist, he believed would cause the overthrow of capitalism and the rise of socialism. After the 1917 February Revolution ousted the Tsar and established a Provisional Government, he returned to Russia and played a leading role in the October Revolution, in which the Bolsheviks overthrew the new government.
Lenin's Bolshevik government initially shared power with the Left Socialist Revolutionaries, elected soviets, and a multi-party Constituent Assembly, although by 1918 it had centralised power in the new Communist Party. Lenin's administration redistributed land among the peasantry and nationalised banks and large-scale industry. It withdrew from the First World War by signing a treaty conceding territory to the Central Powers, and promoted world revolution through the Communist International. Opponents were suppressed in the Red Terror, a violent campaign administered by the state security services; tens of thousands were killed or interned in concentration camps. His administration defeated right and left-wing anti-Bolshevik armies in the Russian Civil War from 1917 to 1922 and oversaw the Polish–Soviet War of 1919–1921. Responding to wartime devastation, famine, and popular uprisings, in 1921 Lenin encouraged economic growth through the New Economic Policy. Several non-Russian nations had secured independence from Russia after 1917, but five were forcibly re-united into the new Soviet Union in 1922, while others repelled Soviet invasions. His health failing, Lenin died in Gorki, with Joseph Stalin succeeding him as the pre-eminent figure in the Soviet government.
Widely considered one of the most significant and influential figures of the 20th century, Lenin was the posthumous subject of a pervasive personality cult within the Soviet Union until its dissolution in 1991. He became an ideological figurehead behind Marxism–Leninism and a prominent influence over the international communist movement. A controversial and highly divisive historical figure, Lenin is viewed by his supporters as a champion of socialism, communism, anti-imperialism and the working class, while his critics accuse him of establishing a totalitarian dictatorship that oversaw mass killings and political repression of dissidents.
A smile is always the best way to engage children...especially in Asia, where they have a natural curiosity to look at the strange visitors! Unlike in Thailand, where school uniforms are very varied and colourful, green and white is worn by all children in Myanmar. The "longyi" is worn by most of the local men and boys.

A cameo role in Vic Sotto's 2001 Blockbuster Movie: LASTIKMAN (Interpreting for a Deaf adult who witnessed a crime...)
Forgive my rather emotional language, but if you are responsible for this you are a moron of the first order.
Okay, maybe you just put the paint pot down and walked on, then another moron knocked it over.
Next morning, a load of little kids had to walk to school through this. It's all over their shoes, its gets walked into their school, into their houses, ruins the paving stones in the Passage...still think there's no consequences to just leaving that paint pot in the street?
When that butterfly flaps its wings, I hope you are at the epicentre of the subsequent earthquake...
Update Enterprise cleared the pot and put some sort of granules down on the mess but not before the paint had been walked all through the infant school and caused a dreadful mess in the brand new nursery building. The flagstones are ruined. I hope there is some way of getting them clean again, but I'm not holding out much hope that they'll just do it. I've seen plenty of old paint spills round here that are just left.
Update #2: The flagstones in the Passage were jet washed clean, although the street on either side was not.

Adalah and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) sent numerous letters to mixed cities’ municipalities over the years to remind them of their obligations to post public signage in both Arabic and Hebrew, pursuant to the organizations’ petition and the 2002 Supreme Court decision. As Natserat Illit continues to ignore the Court’s decision, the organizations’ have written to the Attorney General, and may submit a motion for contempt to the Supreme Court to compel compliance.
