White Tailed Kite comes in for a close landing in Blufftop Park, Half Moon Bay yesterday. We were not there long because the storm was just arriving, but this Kite gave us some pretty good looks.
A young (I want to say 3rd calendar year?) White-eyed gull that stalled in the air in an attempt to identify possible prey. If I recall there wasn't anything there this time, but there has reliably been a large number of schooling fish in the area, the prize for most of the terns and gulls in the area.

This mature Sandhill Crane comes in for a landing at Creamers Field for the Sandhill Crane Festival. I don't know how they know it's festival time, I'm just thankful that they decided to attend ;)

[My little tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing :)]
The chance for BIF shots on Skomer gave me lots of practice with the new 3.0 firmware update on my E-M1 MKII and my hit rate was definitely much improved. They would fly in quite close so I found the 40-150 f2.8 my lens of choice allowing me more time to track and find it in the frame. This is nearly full frame with only a slight crop to centre the bird in the frame, sadly it had drifted slightly to the left hence the crop.
