A young (I want to say 3rd calendar year?) White-eyed gull that stalled in the air in an attempt to identify possible prey. If I recall there wasn't anything there this time, but there has reliably been a large number of schooling fish in the area, the prize for most of the terns and gulls in the area.

Sometimes we look for action/interaction among eagles, This is just a single eagle coming in for a landing in a snow covered field. No other birds, no hunted prey, just a landing.

An eastbound Potash train skirts the shores of Brule' Lake as it makes it way towards Edmonton. Jasper National Park forms a backdrop. Swan Landing is an important interchange point for traffic heading towards the Grande Cache Subdivision, and the oil fields of Northern Alberta.
