This pretty little guy, a Vermilion Flycatcher, is common in in the southwestern US and Mexico but is occasionally found here in Florida. I've had the opportunity to photograph it only once before. This is the bright red male. I managed to catch it as it was landing. (Pyrocephalus rubinus)

As I look towards possibly leading workshops in Grand Teton National Park, I've updated the edit on this photo from one of my past visits to the park.

I suspect this heron has had encounters with snapping turtles seeing the stubby toes.

This Snowy Owl was just landing on this pole after an unsuccessful attempt to catch his prey. The sun was going down which gave a warm glow.

Neat clouds there about 90 minutes before sunset ... setting up what was to be a glorious sunset pallet. But I liked this moody clouds there and the reflections in the water of the Snake River.
