The FOUNDING LAB is a collaborative effort between the Institute of Digital Sciences Austria (IDSA) and Ars Electronica. Op het Lieve Vrouwenkerkhof in Amersfoort oftewel de Slaapkamer was het zaterdagavond een gezellige drukte met een muziekpodium, eet- en drinkgelegenheid, diverse doorlopende voorstellingen, een informatiebalie en de Cineramatent waar ik de voorstelling 'The Washing Powder Conspiracy' zag van PIPS:lab. Following the Orpheus’ workshop cycle where young writers and composers were invited to work on the myth of Orpheus and present an opera project, the creative team composed of Nuno da Rocha (composer) and Rita Fernandes (writer) met again in Helsinki for their first LAB in August 2016. For their second LAB they were joined by Portuguese director Pedro Ribeiro.
The creative team had the opportunity to develop further their project with the presence of an instrumental ensemble and an actress for the spoken role.
