The Maudaiae type of Paphhiopedilum, single flowered hybrid called after one of the first, and most delightful, hybrids made within this group. Their oval leaves are attractively mottled in green and gray-green, sometimes darkly peppered on the undersides, and their elegant flowers, carried proudly on tall, slender stems.
My good friend with his trusted companion Remy after a morning Pheasant hunt.
I have always wanted to take a portrait of Bob using natural light,
so this past week when he pulled up to my house with his quota of pheasants, I talked him into going up to the second floor of the barn for a natural-light portrait.
The hardest part was coaxing Remy up the old rickety stairs to the second floor!!

The IceCube Lab here at South Pole contains a computer cluster that collects neutrino astronomy science data taken with a one-cubic-kilometer sized neutrino detector array deployed deep in the glacial ice. At sunset, which happens only once a year at South Pole, the building is glowing in a great yellow-orange light.
Almost ready for it's final activation, this BAT sits in the preparation chamber under the watchful eye of Hotwire.
Our first trip down this thin strip of land since the most recent hurricane's, Ian and Nicole. This scenic drive suffered a lot of storm damage, and only recently has been reopened to car traffic.

The story with this sketch is my friend Irene lent me the photo of this dog and the guy who owned the dog said "I should give him this sketch for free because it's his dog!" I said no, he was angry, he insisted and said he wouldn't make any copies so I should hand it over! I said no, I still have this on the wall, he isn't getting it! :)
Simple shot as I'm in the process of building a little Lab MOC.
Initially It was simply to try to get a "Breaking Bad" Superlab. But I've had a few more thoughts and ideas to try to use it for different settings.
Basically i'm planning on using/experimenting in a similar way to the Corridor set up I had a while back. The main issue is not having enough Lego in the correct colours. But I have made a few set/furniture pieces.
