The Chevrolet Corvette (C6) is a sports car that was produced by Chevrolet division of General Motors for the 2005 to 2013 model years. The sixth generation Corvette is the first with exposed headlamps since the 1962 model. Production variants include the Z06, ZR1, Grand Sport, and 427 Convertible. Racing variants include the C6.R, an American Le Mans Series GT1 championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans GTE-Pro winner.

Based on the C6 Coupe, the Convertible shares the fundamental chassis and design, but reinforces the sill area to maintain bending rigidity. The C6 is the six generation of a long running series of open top sports cars from the GM Chevrolet division, commencing in 1953. This latest C6 version was first released in 2005, with an expected C7 replacement in 2013. The Corvette is the longest running series production sportscar from the USA.
The current Corvette is powered by the LS3 V8 engine of 6.2 litres capacity, with outputs of 436 hp (325 kW).
Exclusive to Malibu Boats for 2010, the Corvette LS3 Engine is receiving an amazing reception from Malibu Boats Nation. Peter Brown owner of the Malibu Dealership Smooth Water Sports posted these images on theMalibuCrew.com after taking delivery of a 2010 Response ski boat with a 6.2L 450 hp LS3 with 424 ft-lbs of torque. Nice!
This LS3 motor has variable cam timing. The mechanicals take up some space on the front of the motor so the serpentine drive must be spaced out. On Jim's truck this meant the motor had to go back a couple of inches.
London Country had three ex-Southdown "Queen Mary" Titans for a while. 6935 CD was numbered LS3 and is seen at West Croydon on the 411 in October 1975 in company with some London Transport DMS Fleetlines.

This MC240 power amp is one of the two units in original cosmetic and operational condition; no modifications whatsoever. It can be used in Stereo or Mono mode with no hum or tube noise when they were driving a pair of vintage Chartwell LS3/5a's.
These units came from the home of a Celebrity and Musician who loving used and maintained them without sparing any cost in the maintenance.
In my opinion, of the tube amplifiers manufactured in the 60's, the McIntosh line is one of the most coveted and collectable. The MC-240 was one of three stereo amps offered by McIntosh during that time (225, 240 and 275). You will note that the last two digits signify the power rating on a per channel basis. The "2" meant that there are two amplifiers within a single chassis.
The MC-240 was built to impress with the large McIntosh logo in front and the sloping left side panel that houses the gain & balance controls, RCA inputs, speaker output strips, power cord and three massive transformers. All the tubes are on top, with the tube sockets attached to the chrome plated top plate. By contrast, what you'll often see today are tube sockets soldered on a circuit board, consequently, when one inserts or pulls out the tubes, pressure is directly applied on the circuit board.
The MC-240 is rated at 40wpc. The output tubes are 6L6GC and for those unfamiliar with tube amp maintenance, good news--no bias adjustment is required. The unit weighs about 59lbs, mostly apportioned to the rear where the transformers are. Its weight and design provide an overbuilt quality--a component that could possibly outlast its owner. The point to point soldering, parts quality, assembly, and attention to details are first rate, American craftsmanship at its best.
It has the classic melody of a refined tube amp with a spacious sound-stage, full-bodied rendition of musical notes, and clarity of the human voice which is synonymous with high quality tube amps

A classic 40 watts per channel tube amplifier with chrome & black chassis. Operates with low distortion even at full power!
ELECTRICAL: 40w/ch stereo, 80w mono. Response 16-40kHz (+0 -0.1dB). Distortion 0.5%. Noise & hum -90dB. Output impedance 4, 8, 16, 125 and 600 ohms. 600 ohm center tap internally grounded. (2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 ohms in mono). Output voltages 25 (isolated), 70.7 (one side grounded) and 140V (center tap grounded). Internal impedance less than 10% of rated impedance. Input impedance 250k. Input sensitivity: 0.5V (in mono or twin amp). 2.0V in stereo.
MECHANICAL: Chrome chassis. Line output octal socket for higher impedance and voltage. Barrier strips for 4, 8 and 16 ohms. Audio inputs: stereo, twin and mono. Gain controls: twin amp, balance and mono. Input switch: stereo, twin amp or mono. 80watts in mono mode. Line voltage switch: 117 or 125V.
TUBES: 4-6L6GC/7027A output, 3-12AX7, 2-12AU7, 2-12BH7 Solid state rectifier. Size 8"H, 10-3/4"W and 17-1/4"D. Weight 56 lb. Sold from 1960-1969.

The Corvette C6 was virtually all new including new bodywork with exposed headlamps, an overhaul of the suspension geometry, a larger passenger compartment, a larger 6.0 L (364 cu in; 5967 cc) engine and a much higher level of refinement. Overall, it is 5.1 inches (13 cm) shorter than the C5, but its wheelbase has increased by 1.2 inches (3 cm). It is also one inch (2.5 cm) narrower.
Beginning with the 2008 model year, the Corvette received a new engine, the LS3. With displacement increased to 6.2 liters (376 cu in; 6162 cc), increasing output to 430bhp.
The Grand Sport was launched in 2010, replacing the Z51 the car comes with Wider front and rear fenders with integrated Grand Sport badges, wider front and rear tyres, six piston front and four piston rear brake calipers, a dry sump oil system, a hand buit engine, and manual models a launch system.
