A very fine merchants town house built around remnants - the central staircase and oak paneled rooms are of particular note - of an earlier Jacobean house on the site.
Probably the work of one of the Smith brothers of Warwick
Although listed in 1955 it languished under soaring costs till 1982 only the frontage and key parts of the interior surviving whilst the rest was replicated as best as possible.
