My first attempt at modern-ish architecture. The house is designed with a bachelor pad in mind, more specifically a guitarist/musician (hence the guitar collection and piano).

This little something is a memorial in my home town to remember the first finding of salt, the city's reason for great wealth in the middle ages.

Downtown Records is a modular record shop, ready and waiting to take it’s place in your LEGO city, I have packed it with brick built detail as well as custom printed parts (two of my favourite things about LEGO sets). I will gradually be revealing more of this project over time, but to start with I have revealed images of the building from the front, the side and the record store interior.

In total, Downtown Records contains about 3000 bricks and is divided into three sections. The bottom section includes a street scape including traffic light and crossing, leafy tree (I am particularly happy with how the tree turned out – I only had to rebuild it four times!) and a small news stand. Inside on the ground floor of the building there is the record store itself with shelves bulging with custom printed records on 2×2 tiles, a bathroom, and access to the staircase leading upstairs.

My aim with the design of the facade was to create a believable downtown two storey brick-faced building with stucco detailing and ornate architectural cornicing.

So if you would like to help make Downtown Records a real LEGO set, it’s free to support, all you need to do is head on over to LEGO Ideas, sign up for an account and hit that blue support button!

The white flowers surround this split-level house inspired by 20th Century modernist architecture. The SNOT windows along the livingroom and bedroom started this build and it is almost a little brother to my previous Artsand House MOC. As always, I've spent a lot of time working on the interiors and I'm pretty fond of the combined kitchen and livingroom myself. I hope you like it too!

“… and the hanging gardens, …”

Nabopolassar, king of Babylon, concluded peace with the mighty ruler of Media, Cyaxares, after centuries of skirmishes and wars. This alliance proved to be the most powerful force the Middle East had hitherto seen. Together, they crushed the Assyrian empire and ruled from today’s Syria to Pakistan and India.

To seal this pact, Nabopolassar’s son, Nebuchadnezzar II, was to marry Cyaxares daughter, Amytis. For Amytis this meant to leave her home and family behind in Media’s mountainous Ecbatana for a life in the vast valley of the Euphrates. Amytis must have suffered under the separation from her loved ones because of this arranged marriage. But love between the Babylonian prince and Median princess may have been real. Nebuchadnezzar had a garden built for his wife, that shall remind her of her home in the Persian mountains. This paradise of precious fruit bearing palm trees and exotic flowers was laid out in tiers to mimic valleys and hills. Water was brought up to the highest level to run down in cataracts and quench the paradise’s thirst.

The might and prosperity of the kingdoms of Babylon and Media should vanish soon after Nebuchadnezzar and Cyaxares’ son, Astyages, have died. Their cultures, rites, and riches went down in the tumultuous rise of the Achaemenid Empire, and with it the king’s great gift to his queen.

Most likely, all of this is based upon myths and tales, spread by not very accurate ancient historians, and romanticized over the course of millennia. No one knows how such a structure could have been built in the sixth century BCE, or where it could have been located, as there are no traces of it among the ruins of the city of Babylon.

The model consists of 1,256 pieces and is built in scale 1:650. It is modelled after Herodotus’ descriptions of the gardens as a three-tiered complex, with columns, statues, and exotic plants. He further described that no mechanism to transport the water to the highest level was visible from the outside.

Maritime Museum MOC work in progress.

Lego build of House for two families in Bahamas by Vardehagen and Anders Haagaas Grinde. However, my version is just for one family because I wanted to keep the size down. About 4250 bricks including about 1500 ”water bricks”. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used.

Lego microscale MOC of the city of Coruscant from Star Wars

26 studs x 16 studs with over 700 parts

Inspired by The Cary Building, New York City, an all-white LEGO facade. About 6750 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used.

Old City Hotel got a slight renovation at its top floor facade.

The Olde Bakery complained about excessive use of crossaints...

I have been a huge fan of the Dom Luís I Bridge since I first discovered it back in 2023, enough to build a 1/650 scale model of it! Last summer, I had the chance to see it in person for the first time, and since then, I’ve wanted to create a larger version to truly appreciate its details.

Built between 1881 and 1886 in Porto, Portugal, the bridge has two decks, one above for public transport and pedestrians, and one below for cars. The Dom Luís I Bridge replaced an old suspension bridge from 1843, whose two remaining piers can still be seen on the north bank.

The 2025 Marchitecture contest was the perfect opportunity to take on this project. This year, I’m exploring a new scale, 1/325, which makes the model much more detailed and significantly larger. The entire build measures 1.30 meters in length and consists of 13,000 pieces, including 680 different types.

The design process was quite tricky since nothing on either side of the bridge aligns with the LEGO grid. Roads, buildings, and even cliffs are all angled!

This is my first entry for the Marchitecture 2025 contest !

Corner Toy shop(DOTS building)

Before the pandemic I brought this house to my work office to display it in my room. It has been there since then - alone. Now it's back at home with me and I decided to take some new - better - photos. So here they are!

Scandinavian Sea House MOC is a small - but functional - house by the sea. It is shaped like an L and located somewhere in the Swedish archipelago. Downstairs you find a small TV-room and kitchen next to a guest room and a laundry room. A storage space is hidden underneath the staircase, that leads up to the master bedroom. And now we come to the best part - the home spa! Here you find a Turkish bath and resting chairs in a peaceful environment with a panorama sea view. Double glass doors lead to the roof terrace outside.

About 15500 bricks. Computer renderings but only existing bricks were used.

With this building I wanted to create a single-color house and instead of colors using a lot of structure on the facade. The building can be opened at the back and when fully opened, the two parts of the back expands the facade on the front and it becomes a 64 studs wide building. On the ground floor there is an architecture office and above that a large apartment. About 9700 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used.

On July 1st, I installed my recently completed commission piece depicting the Hawthorn Mall redevelopment! You can see the full diorama for yourself on the second-level in the Transformation Suite at the mall in Vernon Hills, IL.

Pyke, the seat of House Greyjoy.

Westeros.

Game of Thrones.

I'm a huge fan of Game of Thrones, so decided to build something related to that. The obvious castles would have been King's Landing or Winterfell but to me Pyke seemed more interesting, visually. I could build according to the description in the books but add something of my own as well and end up creating my version of it.

Also, I had an opportunity to do some more rockwork, :-) how could I lets that pass.... :-) :-) I used curved slope on plate for most of the rock.

Here is without doubt the most difficult moc I have ever made and also the most fragile.

The many angles gave me lots of difficulties and it was hard to hide the gaps and spaces between the three houses.

To be honest sometimes this moc was a nightmare 😆 but I am really proud of the result and the realism.

I hope you'll enjoy it.

Thanks to all Mocers that gave me inspiration.

The third LEGO skyscraper goes up in Wasabi District! At just over 3 feet tall and over 5000 pieces, this 10-storey building is the first office skyscraper in Wasabi District!

I turned a corner with this design! Literally. The front is almost complete, ready to add the last roof section then onto the left side.

My first heavily architecture focused creation (Raid) was a lot of fun to design and build, so I made another modern villa sort of building. One of the things I also wanted to integrate this time was functional lights, even though there is no detailed interior. More pictures will follow later.

Most of my MOCs from the passed year 2017. My first year on Flickr. A very productive year - especially summer and autumn. I found "my thing" and started designing and building modern minifigurescale homes focusing both on exterior and interior. In the end of the year I experimented a bit building in microscale.

Thank you all for support and comments! I´m excited about 2018!

Only nine mocs this year but still about 68,000 bricks. Thank you for your likes and comments! I wish you a happy 2022!

I have wanted to build this house in Lego for a long time. However, the house is too big for minifig scale and a lot of details would be lost in micro scale. But when I saw this recently taken photo of the house, with the beautiful pink flowering tree in front of the house, it felt like a perfect alternative to build the tree with the house in the background.

A year ago I decided to only use existing bricks for my digital MOCs. But this time I really wanted to capture the original color of the house together with the color of the tree. Therefore this build is an exception from my rule. However, if you look at next/previous image you can see how this house would look if only existing bricks were used.

It is a modular fish market sized 64x32 studs comprising seven pavilions and few bridges. The market is divided into wet goods and dry goods zone, with shops ranged from fish stalls, flower shop and grocery stores at Ground, and cafe and restaurant on the 1st Floor. Vibrant Coral and Dark Azur are adopted as colour palette of the design. Built with several types of window frames, a huge canopy provides weather proection to the people below. Enjoy shopping and eating with proper distancing!

Got the exterior to the front entrance of the mansion near complete. So far so good. My client is happy so I am happy :D

️ CAPITOLINE HILL ️

In 155 CE, Greek writer Aristides Quintilianus compared the way in which the buildings of Rome covered its hills to a snowfall, writing "Wherever one stands, it is all around you." This analogy was more deeply felt in the roughly ten days spent redesigning the Capitoline Hill than at any other point thus far in my redesign efforts.

This is a hotel with a revolving café on top of it. The café rotates slowly so the guests can get a good view of the entire city. The wall on the back of the hotel can be opened with a big door to see all the rooms inside. The door is double hinged so less space is needed for it to open.

I'm back with my newest moc, the Red London Telephone Box.

The model contains 1856 pieces and features lots of interesting details. The door can be opened to reveal an authentic detailed interior, complete with an old fashioned telephone.

As well as the phone box I've also included a British pillar box and a street lamp complete with hanging flower baskets.

I think the iconic London Telephone Box would be a great subject for a LEGO IDEAS set so I've uploaded it to the LEGO IDEAS website. If you like the model I'd be really grateful if you could head over and give the model your support. 10,000 votes and it could become a real set.
