My entry to Swebrick Brick Challenge for March 2018. The challenge was to use the minifig flipper footgear in a MOC. This part doesn´t come in that many colours and that made it even more challenging.
I came up with this small health center building. Lime green flippers are used as tree foliage and red flippers are used as awnings.

A short summary of the passing year.
Unfortunately, as usual, I managed to finish less projects than I planned.
But at the same time I built some previously unplanned models for collab LUG projects and for LEGO Poland.
Additionally I worked on the backstage of Lego Masters production which was a very interesting experience.
Happy new year!
The Lego goat became a rare element for a few years. Once Lego produced a collectable minifig of the goatherd I decided to build him a tranquil farm to live on.
There are a few stories added to the model for intrest and intrigue
I always thought a minifig hand upside down reminded me of the Eiffel Tower, so I just had to see what it would look like to replace the original model in this set.

On a recent trip to the coast, I noticed the many ways in which Land meets Water.
This MOC is an attempt to mimic rockwork as arches using plates. The result was a bowl shaped island which I made into a self sustained island village.
Here goes the first part of incoming typical (or not so typical) Soviet tower block building series - from the mighty Stalinist style to COPE panel "hives", starting with the usual Khrushchyovkas and ending with the individual projects like this one I'll show you today.
A vivid representation of the Soviet modernist architecture — four houses supported by pilotis, located on Novosmolenskaya Naberezhnaya in Saint-Petersburg, were erected from 1986 to 1993 by "LenNIIproekt" under Vitaly Sokhin's guidance. Twenty two floors of monolithic reinforced concrete (nineteen of them made for residential purposes) are held by sixteen pilotis and central column.
Worth mentioning that there's one more fascinating building on the other side of Smolenka river, but it's another story.

This is my personal version of Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany in Architecture style!
I love this castle, since my childhood. It has a magical charm, like it comes from a fantasy novel...
It is said that even Walt Disney was inspired by it in the concepting Sleeping Beauty's Castle for his parks!
So I tried to capture its original composition in relatively few pieces.
If you want, I added its instructions on Rebrickable!

This MOC is a LEGO replica of the Alexandra Fountain, one of the most prominent landmarks and monuments of my home town of Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Known locally as simply ‘The fountain’ it stands at the centre of the city.

Not the side of the palace you normally see but this is the side where my mum used to work in the gardens.
I'm proud to present you this MOC of Colosseum in Rome in Lego Architecture style designed by ❈ Corvus Auriac MOCs ❈! Thank to him and his essential help, I managed to re-build it with real bricks! :)
This was a VERY difficult MOC, with superb techniques that really put me in trouble! :P

I wanted to complete its MOC with the archaeological remains of the underground galleries, visible in the center of the amphitheater! :)
Thank you again Corvus Auriac! :)
Despite what today poses the greatest threat to Taj Mahal, the water of the Yamuna have been crucial in imbuing the site’s visage of Paradise with the vitality of flowing waters in the Charbagh. The gardens were first irrigated using through a rather complex infrastructure known as a purs. This animal-powered rope and bucket system raised water from the banks just west of the Chameli Farsh, after which the water flowed down an arched aqueduct to a storage tank housed within the pavilion at the midpoint of the Charbagh. Thirteen more purs were then used to pump the water from the tank to the rest of the gardens through earthenware pipes. These pipes were eventually replaced with cast iron in 1903, while the purs and aqueduct were replaced with more modern infrastructure. While the purs no longer exist, the arches of the aqueduct now accommodate offices for the Archaeological Survey of India’s Horticultural Department. To this day, the waters provided by the Hindu goddess Yamuna still flow amidst the gardens of Paradise at Taj Mahal.
With this building I wanted to create a single-color house and instead of colors using a lot of structure on the facade. The building can be opened at the back and when fully opened, the two parts of the back expands the facade on the front and it becomes a 64 studs wide building. On the ground floor there is an architecture office and above that a large apartment. About 9700 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used.
The start to the front tower! You can tell already this model is going to be massive.

Throwback to a moc that I created two years ago. New renderings and some minor changes from the original moc. Väven is a cultural center in Umeå, Sweden located next to Ume River. Väven was built in 2011-2014 and next to Väven is the hotel Stora Hotellet. Architects are Norwegian Snøhetta and White arkitekter. Computer rendering but only existing bricks were used.

I had to make some modifications to the design due to part availability, but I'm happy with it!
Before the pandemic I brought this house to my work office to display it in my room. It has been there since then - alone. Now it's back at home with me and I decided to take some new - better - photos. So here they are!
Scandinavian Sea House MOC is a small - but functional - house by the sea. It is shaped like an L and located somewhere in the Swedish archipelago. Downstairs you find a small TV-room and kitchen next to a guest room and a laundry room. A storage space is hidden underneath the staircase, that leads up to the master bedroom. And now we come to the best part - the home spa! Here you find a Turkish bath and resting chairs in a peaceful environment with a panorama sea view. Double glass doors lead to the roof terrace outside.
Hey guys! Just playing around with interior design - This one's a hotel lobby / front desk. Simple!
What do you guys think?

In the earliest days of the Kingdom of Rome, the Ager Vaticanus was a festering alluvial plain between the Janiculum and Vatican Hills. This marshy land marked the boundary between Rome and a rival Etruscan settlement until the former led a conquest of the surrounding area and the greater Italian peninsula in the fourth century BCE during the Republican period. For centuries after, the Ager Vaticanus was known for its bad wine and middling vegetable gardens - that is until the first century CE, during the reign of Emperor Caligula, when the plain became the site of his new circus. The Circus of Caligula was initially famed for its signature chariot races, but quickly rose to infamy as the site of the first state-sponsored martyrdoms of Christians under Caligula’s successor, Nero.
The Apostle Peter was said to be among the scapegoated early Christians martyred in 65 CE in the wake of the Great Fire of Rome in 64. According to tradition, Peter was crucified upside-down on the spina (median) of the Circus of Caligula. His body was later smuggled away and laid to rest in a nearby pagan cemetery just north of the circus where, true to scripture, it is said that Constantine I built the original St. Peter’s Basilica in the fourth century once Christianity had been formally adopted by the Roman Empire. The Old St. Peter’s Basilica stood until 1505, when Pope Julius II formally condemned the basilica and commissioned its complete reconstruction in light of the structure’s increasingly dilapidated state following decades of disuse during the Avignon Papacy. During this turbulent fourteenth-century period, seven successive popes resided in Avignon with their papal courts due to an ongoing dispute over the centralization of the Church. Entire novels have been easily filled with these comings and goings, but suffice it to say, it is a fascinating testament to the impact decisions in the Church have had on the built environment.
