One of my first attempts at "light doodling" (drawing with an LED flashlight with a long exposure time).
Took me a few tries to get the smiley face in the frame (the first few either cut off the face or were just random squiggles).
I need to get some more LED flashlights in different colors. I also need to work on the exposure so that you can't see the background. My camera doesn't have a "bulb" setting, so I'm limited to a maximum of 15 seconds.

Soon as I get the chance, I'll be doing a shootout between these two not-quite-classic cameras: the (arguably) top-of-the-line consumer digicam of early 1998 and the (arguably) top-of-the-line consumer DSLR of early 2008.

Pretty much the only thing these two cameras have in common is they're roughly the same size — if you ignore the viewfinder hump, grip, lens mount protrusion, and lens of the DSLR. Oh, and they both have Live View.
How far have we come in a decade? Is it really true that you can get good photos from any old digital camera as long as they're viewed small enough? Stay tuned and find out.
These photos were made in the dark by placing the glass of water on a stool, putting the camera on B-mode, and shining a mini LED flashlight around.

Wandering around the park with my flashlight, dodging cops who were not there, wearing bolack and looking suspicious, I sought out commonplace things to light and shoot with a new perspective. And my handy LED flashlight.
Found this. Still not sure I like it, but it's more interesting than the other shots I deleted. So, there you go.

My LED laser/airsoft gun! I used my laser pointer to make the lines and lit the gun with an LED flashlight. I did some editing in Photoshop to change around the color. Hope you like it!
Light painting involves setting up a camera on a tripod in pitch darkness. In manual mode on my Nikon, I set the camera's shutter to the bulb setting (stays open until the button is pushed again)then used a remote to trigger the shutter so there would be no camera shake. After the exposure had started I used a flashlight (LEDs are amazing for this) and "painted" the light on the subject! Because the exposure is wide open and there is no other light sources, you have complete control to move around and put light on the subject however you want. This image was lit using a single small flashlight while I walked around and turned the light on as i wanted to. I even went behind it! :D
