The three closest fixtures here (left, right, left from close to far) are the trial LED fixtures. The light appears cooler, a bit less bright and somewhat less evenly distributed than the existing metal-halide lights seen in the distance. But the LED lights also consume less than half the energy, reduce light pollution and sky glow (a tiny 0.2% of its light leaves above 90 degrees), have a much longer lamp life, and contain no mercury to contaminate the environment at the end of their lives.

Not posted because of it's photographic merit, just because I think it's interesting! This is the bokeh I managed to get from a single string of solar powered LED 'Fairy' lights hanging over the back of our dining room door. Lens was a Nikon 50mm f1.4. For the the third frame (far right) I poked the individual lights into a strip of black foam core to get an even pattern.
Now trying to work out how I can incorporate this idea into a portrait!

The electronic parts that you will need are:
- 48 high power uv leds (prefer straw hat)
- 8 resistors 150 Ohm 1/4 watt
- 24 VDC power supply
How to construct.
It is a simple idea.
There are 8 paraller arrays that consists from 6 leds in serries with a resistor (150 Ohm).
We power them up with 24 VDC.
Tests.
After a lot of tests we notice that the best exposure time is about 2,5 minutes.

I converted ask the existing lighting in a furniture store to operate LED lacks instead of Mercury lamps.
An LED light was added to the bottom of the overhead cabinet to provide plenty of light in the front of the trailer.
