Please see the camera-wiki article on the Pentax 645. This was a new concept to transfer ideas from 35mm cameras of the day into a medium-format negative size. Notably, programmed autoexposure is built in, as is a motorized winder and a top LCD. There is no modular removable prism or film backs, in the interest of compact size, although six AA cells are needed to make everything work.
The Pentax 645 lens series introduced for this camera would have a surprising second life in a 2010 medium-format digital (albeit with a crop factor around 1.27x).

July 10, 2018 - Delta flight DL246 from Reykjavik to JFK. I have never flown to JFK before and after the experience of the lines to go through US Customs then going through security to get to my connecting flight I will try my darnedest to never fly through JFK again! I was supposed to fly home through Minneapolis MN and I thought it was crazy to fly west then have to fly back east to Columbus, Ohio. Live and Learn!

As a small child I used to play with dominoes for hours but I can't imagine many children spend hours playing dominoes these days. I see lots of children attached to their handheld video game devices and I wonder if I would have chosen dominoes given the choice. :)

I have these old dominoes and thought they would be perfect for setting a slightly vintage scene. Initially I was going to use the screen of the handheld device as a large domino attached to the end of line but after taking a number of shots I decided that there may be a better composition. So I placed a small arrangement of dominoes in the foreground and set the handheld device in the background out of focus.
I initially planned to use a flash head and softbox but in practice the flash spoiled the light being emitted from the screens. So in the end I manually set the white balance using a grey card and in post processing desaturated the colour a little and fine tuned the levels.

Hours of diggin' for relevant information in endless logfiles and everything blurs before my eyes. Interference patterns everywhere and nothing seems to make sense anymore.

I finally got around to getting some pics of my underwater camera set-up. The telescopic pole and paint roller handle allow me to get smoother shots and a 360 degree view without the camera spinning uncontrollably.

In order to record video footage, there's a video out port from the LCD screen where I plug my video camera. I record the footage onto a mini-DV tape.
Dublin Bus VG 8 with its trial on-board infomation system.
Lauched into service at the start of this week, two 19 inch LCD monitors on both decks relay updated news, weather & advertisements, as well as spot clips for the Dublin Bus tours. During the trial, free wifi is available to passengers.
The infotainment system is being promoted by Picavision, an Irish company specialising in on-board LCD displays especially for the transport sector. Irish Rail & Bus Eireann are considering pilot projects with Picavision.
VG 8 is seen operating route 122, which the bus has been allocated to for the week, seen above leaving Harrington Street heading northbound towards Ashington.
