Today I packed up nearly all of my kitchenware except for the toaster, can opener, and a couple of pots and pans to use until we've run out of food, which will be before the end of the next week. There's currently around 30 boxes lying around my house, and at least one or two that will be packed up within the last 24 hours we're in our current home.
Since all of our plates are now packed away, I ran up to Provigo this evening to pick up some disposable plates and a couple of other items we needed until the move. The only thing that I couldn't find was a small package of toilet paper.

FINALLY! SOME PYREX!!! Was SO excited to pick up the Friendship 502! Have been looking for it forever! I already have the 501s, but couldn't pass up these perfect ones (with lids!) for $1 each. I wanted to take a photo of my completed set, but sadly my 503 is already packed! I might try to find it anyways, haha :)

This jolly gal is another piece in the extensive pear set, and I have had her for many years.
She was found for $10 at the Chelsea Flea Market in New York City by my husband, who was practically guarding her with his life, waiting for the dealer to get back to her booth!

Cutting+Slitting - 316stainless steel narrow strip,special length/width plate
(1) Flame cutting: The cost of flame cutting equipment is low and it is the only economical and effective means to cut thick metal plates, but it has its shortcomings in thin plate cutting.
(2) Laser cutting：Laser cutting equipment can cut stainless steel plates below 30mm. Adding oxygen to the laser beam can cut 40mm thick carbon steel, but after oxygen cutting, a thin oxide film will be formed on the cutting surface.
(3) Wire cutting: It is developed on the basis of EDM perforation and forming. It has not only developed the application of EDM but also replaced EDM perforation and forming in some aspects.
(4) Shearing cutting：Uses a moving upper blade and a fixed lower blade and uses a reasonable blade gap to apply shearing force to metal plates of various thicknesses so that the plates can be broken and separated according to the required size. A Shearing machine is a kind of forging machinery, and its main function is in the metal processing industry.
(5) Plasma cutting：It is a processing method that uses the heat of a high-temperature plasma arc to partially or partially melt (and evaporate) the metal at the incision of the workpiece and uses the momentum of the high-speed plasma to remove the molten metal to form an incision.
(6) Slitting: Also known as slitting, refers to the process of uncoiling, slitting, leveling, and winding stainless steel coils into coils of the required width.

Of all the wonderful tool makers of the world, Jernbolaget in Eskilstuna, Sweden was one of my favorites. Jernbolaget (or The Steel Company if you prefer the translated version) was much more than a tool maker. The company is mostly known as a large supplier of kitchenware, household items and cutlery. I don't own very much of their products, but the large cast iron kitchen scale is one of my favorites.
Older items normally display the full company name "Eskilstuna Jernmanufaktur AB" or "Eskilstuna Jernmanuf. Aktiebolag", later one's the abbreviated "Jernbolaget Eskilstuna".
The company symbol was an anchor and although it can at times be poorly stamped, it appeared on all their products, even down to the smaller chisels.
I have not sen a greta deal of hand tools from Jernbolaget, so I am uncertain about which types of woodworking tools they actually made.
At a later stage Jernbolaget exported their woodworking tools, some of them under the brand "Anchor". At this stage Jernbolaget also started making hand planes.
I have never seen or tried a Anchor hand plane, so I cannot say whether they were good or not. But the cutter ought to be excellent. The steel made by Jernbolaget was equal to that of Erik Anton Berg.
Fast and easy...took about 30 mins to turn $50 into $125...it is win/win. A great gift for someone making them happy, and me, making a few bucks along the way.
This is the tea-pot from my terracotta collection of kitchenware. I've had this for about 8 years yet I don't think it's ever been used!

I cheated. It's all Mike's fault. We went out to BW3's last night with friends and it's right across from my favorite Salvation Army. We got over there early and Mike suggested we stop. I accidently picked up this turquoise 402 while we were there :)
It's got quite a few nicks but I don't care! After seeing a minty set for $125 on ebay, I figure picking up a set that has some wear and tear isn't a bad idea!
Finally got my cleaver. Chroma Type 301 (japanese steel) by Porsche Design.
I will slay much quarry with this.
