Objects wich are not used now, can be recycled. Here are and old coffee maker and a kettle. The bottom was cut out, to install the electrical connection socket and lamp. In the end, two originals and unique light fixtures.

I went to Paris last week, mainly for le Salon International de l'Agriculture 2010.

A 3-day trip just wasn't enough to visit the city, not to mention that I've spent a whole day for the exposition. I've been walking among the five enormous pavilions for more than 10 hours that day. When I was back to my friend's place later that night, I was really all "beet"...

The rest 2 days I just got up at 6am and rushed to take a glance around, like an uncultivated eater gobbling down some exquisite entrées without tasting them.

Thanks to a former classmate living temporarily in Paris, who took me to visit some well-famed patisseries and culinary stores in a super efficient way, and who told me how to go to the nearest flea market to where I stayed, I could finally do some shopping to prove that I've really been to Paris.

However, except for the macarons from Pierre Hermé, those are just not so typically parisien souvenirs. I bought mostly some nice and cheap porcelains and kitchenwares to equip my kitchenette. I was so pround of myself when I found the wooden turntable in the flea market, which cost only 5 euros! I guess I can make a birthday cake to myself in some weeks. :)

Perhaps a bit too practical, but they are just my kind of souvenirs. :)

A Spitalfields market stall on a Thursday (antiques day)

The fantastic market in Lenno is held every Tuesday morning along Viale C. Lomazzi down by the lake side. This market has numerous stalls selling; fruit and veg, cheeses and salami, outdoor clothing, fashion clothing, underwear, kitchenware, curtains and tablecovers, shoes, jewellery, fresh fish, you can even buy a bag of snails!

Every time I look at these they remind me of how much I hate Valentine Day.

I love the shape of these and could never find one until recently. I only have a lid for one of them. The middle one is the Golden Branch pattern.

:) Picked up this vintage dansk kobenstyle fondue pot at an antique shop this week. In love!

Was happy to find this partial Verde bowl set at the thrift today for $5! I was in need of a bowl set to actually use as everyday bowls. The goofy thing is, I had the 404, but got rid of it before I moved! Oh well :)

I confess that I like this even more because a man is wearing an apron and doing the dishes : )

Midland Metal Spinning were far better known as that well-known kitchen brand "Tower".

Created with the use of a pen light, a purple glo-stick and a flash.

TAVOLA, ARGENTI, CUCINA - Tableware, Silver and Kitchenware

This set of glasses was being set out on the curb by a family cleaning out their Mom's house (she's 98 and moving) ... It was a good day.

Something I made for my friend that lives overseas. She and I grew up in Cincinnati, where the "flying pig" is the unofficial mascot of the city. We live far away from our hometown, but as a reminder, I always send my friend piggy stuff.

At Camicado store, Praia de Belas mall. I just photographed this because I'm so girlie and love cute stuff... :-)
