Yeah, I know, I got lazy and stood in one spot to take these shots. If you look close you can see the new cabinet and the new microwave over the stove. All here you can see there is a paint job done on the east wall over the stove and a different yellow out of the kitchen area on the east wall. Also the door has been painted . The shelf over the door is also gone.
You can see into the dining area from the kitchen area. There is a dishwasher and garbage disposal as well.
Each year the City of Kitchener, along with our local partners, plants the seed with residents and businesses, encouraging them to take pride in and contribute to the city's visual appeal by beautifying their property through gardening. Those who go above and beyond to 'pretty our city' may be nominated for recognition by the Kitchener in Bloom Recognition Program.
I cannot express how much I love that our new kitchen has a window in it. This whole place is full of light - such a difference from our old apartment, which only really had good light for about an hour or two a day (and never any natural light in the kitchen).
This is my alternative to a mortice and tenon joint, it has almost double the surface area for gluing. Cut using my screw advance box joint jig. The dimensions of the joint are chosen so that the cross sectional area of end grain left after cutting the joint is the same on the leg and rail to maximise strength.
My new rug FINALLY came - I ordered it in the second week of the Cure! The kitchen still needs work, color-wise, but I think it's on it's way now...
This is the far corner of our kitchen. The beautiful table and chairs were made by my father in law.
Why spend time going through these everywhere and every time you visit!
