the counters are reclaimed wood from the floorboards of old railroad cars. they are beautiful but require a bit more maintenance than i am used to.

It's been a challenge to fit the storage below the sink and the evaporator of the freezer/fridge below this storage...

Currently lacking countertops--one for food prep, and a higher counter for eating (you can see yellow support for it at rear of cabinets). Fridge will go at left of the photo. View is toward hallway and bedrooms. The wall color is really bright orange, not peach.

While in the kitchen we saw this great pile of snow in the light. The kitchens were almost complete having been all tiled and plumbed for the new cooking equipment. there are still areas with brown kraft paper covering the bright white tiles to protect them. What a waste...
