The window that sits in my kitchen looking into the conservatory and the garden. I moved some things around, it doesn't normally look that neat ;) Phalaenopsis, orchid is a housewarming gift from holly.

Kitchen mat made from tiny squares from my scrap bin to replace my Christmas mat from Target. The machine quilting is awful- yet another reason why I handquilt everything!

My kitchen si presenta come un sistema componibile che permea lo spazio e lo rinnova senza alterare l’equilibrio di un ambiente domestico che deve e vuole essere vissuto in quanto tale.

Spent a week working with our son Scott on a complete kitchen remodel.

This is what we started with. Out dated and worn out cabinets, very limited counter space, and appliances in need of updating.

A funny story about this dishwasher. This is not the one that originally came with the house. That one leaked so bad it couldn't be used. This one was found along the road and was in better condition than the original. Anyway, when the kitchen remodel idea was born, Scott was planning to reinstall this one to save some money! His MOM blew a gasket over that idea!!!

Rustic kitchen with AEG appliances and plenty of light and Open space with Bi-Fold Doors

All the appliances are Whirlpool. I love the huge microwave and how the sink faces the nice view of the backyard. I can wash dishes and enjoy the butterflies at the same time. The floor looks great with the counter top color too. Still need a Fridge.

Steffen and I just completed remodeling a condo on Coronado Island. The new owners did not want to gut the kitchen so we added a backsplash to transition from the stark black granite countertops to the warm oak cabinetry. We also changed the cabinet pulls from black to brushed nickel to de-emphasize the black.

A small kitchen on the upper deck of a replica of the Dunbrody, a sailing ship that ferried survivors of Ireland's Great Hunger of the 1840s. These ships were called "coffin ships" because so many of the poor and desperate people crammed into them for emigration (and exploitation) died from hunger and sickness during the journey. The Dunbrody had a superior reputation among such ships, thanks to its captain - a doctor who cared about his passengers and about the living conditions on board. Still, access to rooms like this, where food could be stored and prepared, was very restricted. Everyone had to live off of very little for many weeks on end.

This was the second session in Pat's kitchen recording overdubs for the debut album "Nocturnal City Journal" by BIG BLUE SUN featuring the wonderful Way Out West musicians Pat, Kathryn and John (going from right to left).

Dan, on the left, is the singer and songwriter, and all-round top chap.

George, multi-instrumentalist and guru to the great unwashed of Gloucester's musical hopefuls, is out of shot cradling his laptop in the sink.

Me, I play drums and take pictures. Andy, who plays bass, was out delivering in his ASDA van.

When the album is ready I'll be posting links galore!!!

Until then there are snippets of unfinished and unmixed stuff here www.myspace.com/nocturnalcityjournal
