Here is a kitchen we designed for one of our clients. Dark stained, post-modern style custom cabinetry (again designed by us), and stainless steel accents where necessary.

This was a tough kitchen to shoot. Very dark cabinets, and tons of natural daylight that just blinded the camera. I'm sure a multiple exposure shot would have worked better, but I don't do multiple exposure images. I don't want to give a false representation of the room in my shots. So, yes the window is blown out, yes the light fixtures are hot spots too. That doesn't really bother me.

Shooting information: Nikon D300 w/ Nikkor 12-24/4 @ 12mm. SB800 remotely triggered, bounced off an umbrella at camera right.

i got a new camera so i was trying it out... this is my kitchen window in black and white...

August 27, 2019 - I took some photos of my new kitchen with the Canon SLR. Time to give the iPhone camera a rest. Today Lowes came out and measured for the new window and backdoor window treatments. All that is left to do to complete the transformation is the installation of the missing trim between the top of the cabinets and the soffit. I also decided to add wood wall base where it had been removed by a previous owner. The contractor is having issues finding an exact match to the rest of the house so I am just going to go with a 4" high straight wall base painted to match the door frames.

The entrance to the kitchen is just on the right of the restaurant/bar's main entrance. The door is generally open to allow for a peak of the action inside... and perhaps a clandestine camera snap or two.

From this kitchen view you can see the dining room and the half bath in the background.

The base cabinet near the door is kind of neat with its curve. The tile backsplash is in poor condition. Luckily, it would be pretty easy to reproduce.

The kitchen had to be gutted in order to level the settled house and install new structural supports under the first floor framing system.

The fishing boat featured a number of earthly luxuries, such as a washing machine, full kitchen (including a refrigerator and a rice cooker) and a dining room (which included a TV).
