I painted it a couple years ago -- walls and cabinets white and cabinet fronts periwinkle. Before it was the same hideous beige as the rest of my apartment.
This mainly just needs a good clean, but a pot rack over the stove would be helpful.
This kitchen cabinetry was created with the Accord door style in Lyptus finished in Toffee with Chocolate glaze and in Java.

I never took decent photos of the flat when it was originally tarted up. Now we're selling up I thought I'd better have a go. Considering this is four years after the work was completed it's looking not bad. Thanks to daveybot for the equipment loan.

Mitchell Paul is the real baby of the family, though his arguably the more dominant of the twins. He's built different than Cody...more like a football player...and has DARK brown eyes. He tends to be the "strong, but silent" type. They both hoard toys but Mitchell has always preferred the cars and trucks and tractors (rather than the farm animals that Cody packs around) He walked first and has the scars to show his efforts. He's slightly more independent and has always wanted to be one of the big boys but he definitely has his days when he's attached at my hip. =) He likes to use me as a chair when I sit criss-cross applesauce and has probably chewed on every single sweatshirt string that I own!

Strobe @ 1/4 through softbox CR into dining room, I let it bleed over to kitchen to fill shadow under island.
SB 80 @ 1/4 on stand placed on countertop CR in kitchen bounced off vaulted ceiling

Built-in three-filter system for potable water straight from the faucet. Gas stove, electric oven, microwave, coffee maker and electric teapot. Lots of storage space. New windows, lots of natural light, screens to keep bugs out.
I had the idea of a big magnetic black board in the kitchen and my dad pulled some strings and got me this for free.. He painted it with the black board paint I bought.. I love it!!

Counters: I glued and screwed 2 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood together, then cut and scribed them to the walls. Today I dropped them off at Custom Sheet Metal on N. Lamar, where they'll be wrapped in 18 gauge stainless steel!
You can see how the new layout is coming together here. The fridge is tucked away in it's cubby behind the wall, where the coat closet and pantry closet used to be. Moving the fridge gave us an extra 3 feet of counter space. Which in turn, made it possible to scoot the stove over and open up the wall to the living room.
The new counter height on the left side of the kitchen is 38 1/2 inches. I found this equation from this site helpful.

So Kim and I are 6 ft., divide by 2, so 3 ft. plus 2 - 4 inches. And... 38 1/2 feels right. This number also matches with the recommended 45 degree elbow bend method.
