First submission. First home using Scott's techniques. SB600 with wdl behind island. SB700 in shoot through camera right towards ceiling.
Our designers created contrast with a dramatic black granite countertop on the island but kept the feeling approachable with reclaimed wood flooring in this LIDINGO kitchen.
Well it only took three months (asbestos tile abatement was part of that), but the kitchen and dining room are redone after an unknown and obviously long-term ice maker water line leak. It's interesting how insurance covers things (they didn't pay for new cabinets but paid for the restoration company to take the old fronts off, build new boxes, and then attach the old fronts to the new box).
Kitchen will have espresso colored cabinets, a different backsplash, and different granite countertops. Also, the fridge will be stainless, but will have a bottom freezer drawer.
Frustration at flat grey skies and never ending rain lead me to looking for inspiration wherever I could find it.
I quite liked how when isolated from it's surroundings it looks a little like a roulette wheel, or is that just me?!
Good combination between units and worktops. CaesarStone® Misty Carrara worktops have a peculiar shade and effect that recalls Marble.

I love Paris and wanted to create a kitchen with a French feeling. My dad made the birdhouse that sits on top of the cupboard and also made the shelf where the window hangs. The handles are vintage hot and cold porcelain knobs that I hung vintage aprons on.
The kitchen cabinetry was created with the Concord door style in Maple finished in White with Bronze glaze.
pretty much done. just need to get a new rug, install the shoe molding, paint the baseboard trim, and maybe make new curtains. i'll eventually put up a tile backsplash. 92/365 // 04.03.11
Tiled here with additional expensive roses purchased especially for this picture, before the kitchen gets swamped with crap and clutter.
The camp manager serves up a hot Saturday night stew for all the campers.
A great place to meet people, like in the song played on Macca today, 6/07/19 "Nobody uses the camp kitchen anymore". But we do, and German backpackers and others who phoned in to Australia all over....

Kitchen Remodel June and July 2006 we used Ikea Adel birch cabinets, black galaxy slab granite, glass tile back splash, light carmalized horizontal grain bamboo flooring, stainless undermount sink with Hansgrohe faucet, and DCS appliances..
Incredible kitchen comes equipped with a breakfast bar, hardwood floors, cabinets with a natural finish, stainless steel appliances, KitchenAid gas range, self-cleaning oven, microwave, and dishwasher.

I don't often like using hardware but when working with a budget, selecting hardware that compliments the existing finishes and choosing a style with simple clean lines, here is a good option. Placement is key when placing hardware especially when in a small kitchen. I like flush mount to the edge of a door but I'm always challenged with the spacing ...
