"Hi, I am Carol Geisler. I am standing in my new kitchen, but I wanted to tell you about my old kitchen first. I didn’t like being in my old kitchen. It was dark and crowded and no room when we were entertaining, so I really wanted this new kitchen. We’ve lived in this house for 20 years, and I lived in that kitchen for that long. I really wanted it updated.
When we had Lotz Home & Office come out, we thought we knew exactly what we wanted to do. But once we started talking to them, they gave us lots of ideas of ways to make the kitchen more functionable, get more cabinet space, put more light in the space, make it work better for us after we described what we wanted to do.
As we worked through the process, they were here and explained to us every step of the way everything what they were going to do, and how they were going to do it.
We were very pleased how easy they were able to reach, they responded to all of our questions and very helpful throughout the whole process.
So now we have this big, bright beautiful kitchen with lots of light, lots of cabinet space, and all the functionality we wanted. It allows us to have friends and family visit, congregate in the kitchen, visit and cook and enjoy each other’s company. It’s really everything I ever dreamed it to be."

I designed this kitchen myself using found objects, ebay items and free stuff! Of course, there was much of it that wasn't free, like the marble backsplash, for instance.
But see that cute little window and door in the upper right part of the photo. Those are part of my walk-in pantry. I purchased the window and the door for a total of $55! The window was from Treasure Aisles in St Louis and the door was from ReStore (for Habitat for Humanity).
We had some very nice friends who gave us the carrera marble island for free after they remodeled their own kitchen.
So adorable, vintage Sanrio cookzoo set from 1987. Made in Japan. Each "animal" is a very useable kitchen item. ^__^
As RTA wood kitchen cabinets are flat-packed, these fixtures use up smaller space and is more straightforward to carry leading to cheaper transportation cost. In case you carry out your groundwork properly, you can still discover online suppliers providing shipment at a discounted price or free of cost.

When I make Roasted Butterflied Chicken and crank the oven to 500 degrees the smoke alarm doesn't go off anymore thanks to my high powered hood.
