Twenties Kitchen from a Sears home decorating booklet. Note the new gas range. No more woodstove! There is an ice box and a nice big sink with built in drain board. That's some wild 1920's linoleum.

That's how my hands look like after two weeks working in a kitchen. The cuts you get while cutting lemons are especially fun...

In 1969, Honeywell released the Kitchen Computer. It was designed for housewives to be able to store and retrieve recipes. Unfortunately, it had a terrible, unusable interface, and its price tag was a whopping $10,600 (in 1969 money!)

It appears that none of these were ever sold.

Sigh. My last day with this sweet kitchen which I've enjoyed so much for the past 3 years.

My mom's house. The afternoon. Pea soup on the stove and a pan of brownies cooling on the counter.

At long last, our kitchen is being refurbished. And naturally that requires some before and after photos. So here is the current kitchen.

Note the various random gaps, naff, cheap cupboards and highly dubious lighting rig. Oh and absolutely anchient cooker with no extractor fan.

Oh and the boxed in area above the cupboards. I'm putting money on there being absolutely nothing behind it.

This is an Elves & Angels kitchenette, plus a "fridge" I made. I had door issues, so until the hardware stores reopen, it's just open shelves. Sorry about the weird angle-the kitchen island gets in the way!
