Tonight I just had to get out of the house. Go for a drive. Sometimes it helps clear my mind a bit. It had already been one of the worst weekends I could think of, and I was not feeling creative whatsoever. Running on little sleep, I was still feeling quite numb. A void. I had no idea what to photograph today, my mind was empty yet so cluttered. I wasn't looking forward to tomorrow, but I knew I would have to face it- the visitation of my good friend Japeth. I met up with my friend Amy and her brother, although I probably wasn't the best company or in the best mood. I'm sure my being on edge was obvious. Having looked death in the face hundreds of times working in the funeral business and dealing with families that had experienced suicide NOTHING prepares you for such an experience until it hits so close to home... nothing. The numbers of people that this effects extends beyond what the mind can fathom. He touched and affected many, many people in his lifetime. I kept thinking how I should have tried harder to make contact, to just drop in on him since months had gone by the last we spoke. Tonight it would be hard to sleep...

Keypad is about 1 metre (3 feet) from the ground. Make sure you tell your architect/designer to pretend that he is only 1 metre tall and to design the house to suit. I think we reminded our architect about 50 times. A friend our ours insisted that their designer sit in a manual chair and proceeded to walk the around their house!.
