PERSONAL FUN FACT: Winter Vacation Phoebe was the only doll from the 2023 "Crazy for Bratz Kidz Lot" to still have her shoes. There wasn't a single other pair in the vast container, which was disappointing. Sure, I had plenty of extra footwear hoarded just for circumstances like that, but I hate to tap into the supply. Anyways, Phoebe was also lucky enough to have parts of her outfits. Sadly, I didn't get both ensembles, which would have been ideal. But there was enough for her to wear on display. The Winter Vacation ladies are each sold with long, fur trimmed coats. MGA did not provide them with shirts to wear beneath (which is an odd choice). Since Phoebe's jacket doesn't have a waist tie, she exposes her bare chest. That's why I have to use other shirts from my collection beneath the coat (so the poor little dear is properly covered). I have this same issue with Winter Vacation Cloe and Yasmin, who I got brand new. It's definitely a design flaw, as opposed to a secondhand one.
A "Key" from the past....
This neon sign once helped bring weary travelers in for a bite to eat and some coffee at the Keys Cafe, formerly located in Franklin County, Mo, on Historic Route 66 by the Twin Bridges. The sign has a distinctive "key" shape, playing on the family name of Noble C. and Nellie E. Key, who owned and operated the Cafe. Their family and descendants donated the Keys Cafe sign to Route 66 State Park.

Route 66 State Park is located in what used to be Times Beach, Missouri, site of one of the worst environmental disasters in the US in recent years. Fascinating story in the link.

As I pushed the shutter button this man stepped into the view. Not sure he actually saw me.Turned out more interesting than the empty window shot.

High key is not really my thing, but it's been annoying me that I missed a challenge, so I gave it a go. I ended up being my own model as well.
Back before Key West was a millionaire's playground, it was a rustic fishing village. The State's first Aquarium, it was built in 1934 as a WPA project as part of an incentive to make Key West a tourist attraction. Wonder if that ever worked ;)

"The Key deer is the smallest sub-species of the Virginia white-tailed deer. Because the Key
deer population is low and remains under threat of extinction from human interaction, the subspecies is federally listed as endangered. The current population is estimated between 600 and 750."
