My wife and I were on a tear down in Key West. The idea was who could take the best photo. We saw this woman walking down the street and I asked her if I could take our picture ...... This is the winner. This is a very lovely woman but this is not my wife.

Paradise Key Hammock
Look to the west and observe how elevation changes of only inches influence the sawgrass prairie, slough, and hardwood hammock. Paradise Key, sometimes called Royal Palm Hammock for its towering palms, stands larger and higher than most Everglades hammocks. The Florida Federation of Womens Clubs preserved and dedicated the area as Royal Palm State Park in 1916.
Wide-scale drainage of Florida's wetlands in following decades created severe drought conditions that threatened the very existence of the Everglades. In 1945, uncontrolled wildfires spread across the parched landscape, destroying old-growth trees at Royal Palm.
Concern for the future of the hammock and surrounding regions led to the establishment of Everglades National Park in 1947. Today the amount, distribution, timing, and quality of water delivered to Everglades National Park still determine the security of this preserved wilderness.

L’opening act di The Divine Comedy, mercoledì 25 febbraio 2026 ai Magazzini Generali di Milano, è affidato agli swan•seas.
Nati a Milano nel 2016, gli swan•seas rappresentano una delle realtà più interessanti del panorama indie rock e shoegaze contemporaneo. Fondati da Corrado Angelini dopo lo scioglimento dei Be-Forest (di cui era stato turnista) e altre esperienze nell'underground, la band ha impiegato diversi anni per affinare un sound che mescola con eleganza dream-pop e distorsioni anni '90.
Dopo il debutto nel 2022 con il singolo R. / Ingenting, il gruppo ha consolidato la propria identità sonora arrivando alla pubblicazione del primo album ufficiale, Songs in the Key of Blue, uscito nel maggio 2024 per etichette specializzate come Shore Dive Records. Il disco, accolto positivamente dalla critica di settore, esplora atmosfere malinconiche e riflessive attraverso nove tracce cantate in inglese. La band è nota per le performance live intense, portate su palchi come quelli del Bloom di Mezzago e dello Skaletta Rock Club, mantenendo un legame profondo con l'estetica lo-fi e l'attitudine indipendente.
