Red Shouldered Hawk on the bat-house. He looks like a sentry soldier on watch, but I imagine he is on the hunt for his next meal.

Two facades on High Street (Markyate, Hertfordshire). Both are secondary, meaning that underneath you would find the old timber-framed building. On the left, there is the Georgian makeover with its neo-classical portico and the sash windows. On the right, we have a double-fronted facade with its two Victorian bay windows. Both frontages are successfully using architectural language, that is, they are able in getting their message across, that of importance. Fuji X-Pro1.
Here is our cheeky Male Red Wattlebird. Keeping a keen on me while he was just about to grab a piece of noodle
Robin territorial..that on their patch. A dispute starts with males singing at each other, trying to get a higher perch in order to show off their breast most effectively. This usually ends the challenge, with one individual deferring to the other
A large Grey Heron waiting patiently in Middle Lake. Osterley Park and House, a national Trust property in Isleworth, London
Australian Shelduck (Tadorna tadornoides). I find this female quite specia: she is a duck, but she is quite large, almost like a goose, she is also very vocal, sounding like a cross between an ibis and a goose. After landing she was sticking to a particular pair of Black Swans - I wondered why.

This is a female bear called Misha and we had the pleasure of photographing her on two separate occasions both times with her 4 month old cub.
Keeping in Valley Forge I was saddened that I didn't have more time or energy to make it around and explore more, but when I saw these patches of weeks that were dying due to the change of season, I knew I had found the subject of a few images.
Had a walk up on the Ridgeway on Saturday , decided to travel light and just take my camera and a couple of lenses rather than carrying my usual back braking amount of gear with me

Mama Canada Goose keeping a close watch on her little brood. Papa was not far away either. With the resident Bald Eagle's nest just a short distance away and one out hunting, she has to be alert so that none of them end up as breakfast for the Eagles. Mill Lake, Abbotsford, B.C.

another version of "Silent Poesia" ... in the company of other trees
Bellwort (uvularia) is a flower native to eastern North America, closely related to the lily family. I've been watching this patch expand for a couple of decades; doing so despite the fact that the area is being overrun by invasive honeysuckle, imported from Asia, which secretes poisons from its roots to prohibit other plants from growing.
One of my favorite baristas brought out her camera. An actual camera! I had a play with it and was heartened by how easy it was to use.
Over edited from Raw, I loved the contrast between her red hair and the green wall and plants.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Some members of Clanadonia waiting to cross the road with a little eye contact but I absolutely love the look between the two guys on the right of frame. A little 'Fun for Friday' in this, enjoy!
