The Union Pacific Potash local passes by some of the amazing rock formations in Utah en route to the local's namesake industry. Though much smaller and less striking, the rock to the left reminded me of Monument Valley's "Balanced Rock".

This New Holland honeyeater and its partner spent much time on Sunday 'buzzing' our dog when he was in the garden. I reckon there's some chicks in our back hedge. Not sure where the nest is thouigh.

I was near the harbor at Homer when I spied this eagle in the tall grass, keeping watch in the distance while the gentle rain fell. I felt like it had a little peek-a-boo going on ;)

Just over 2 years since Lake State Railway took over the southern end of the Saginaw Sub from CSX, the former face of the line still finds a way to keep their name present here. With an ex Western Maryland SD40 leading, D711 ducks under the signal bridge at South McGrew with a decent sized train for Port Huron in tow.
