Prompt: Hyper realistic photography of a humble 6-year-old boy, with his back turned, with his west highland white terrier, reading a book, sitting under a tree, at sunset, canon eos r6, 8k --ar 5:4 --v 6.1
Living only 300 yards from the Beeston Canal has its benefits and I made this image just before I arrived home from work. It's the first place I go to if the light is looking good and on this occasion the owners of some of the boats had started to anticipate a cold evening. They were right - it was a night with a very sharp frost, but the light prior to sunset was excellent and I spent a good half hour making a variety of compositions.
Obby waiting for me on my side of the bed! These nights get mighty cold so both Bailey and the big orange boy sleep cuddled with me for warmth. Happy warm Caturday….
Leftovers and outtakes, and hopefully the last of the frosty photos for this year, but I can't fool mother nature.
I hope all are having a swell time home alone.
Luv these little Anna's hummingbirds, their movement never ceases to amaze, moving around the garden with bullet like speed the one moment, and then dead stop as they indulge in the flowers

Sorrow, keeping me sane
You turn my nights into days
I love your beautiful anger
When I am tempted to give up
And the winter’s drowning me with memories and loss
I leave my hungry mind outside
‘cause there’s a beauty inside
And sorrow is fueling my fire
Every second I disappear
I feel my senses dying
In the mountain stillness I hear
Hollywood coyotes crying
Sorrow, you are my light
Everything my heart desires
Show me your beautiful anger
Sorrow, keeping me sane
You turn my nights into days
I love your beautiful anger
Every time that I feel
My empire beneath my feet
Crumbling - Anger - Crumbling
Sorrow...
Buon tramonto, mondo.

These Little Owls liked to keep in line and watch over their local field. Great to photograph them like this, not something I ever expected to see in the wild.
