Day Two around Prague ... we wandered through the Old Town, then headed across the Charles Bridge to Prague Castle. After leaving the Castle, we headed down towards the river via the Kafka Museum on Cihelna.

Some sources say that Franz Kafka had once a house from which he could see inside Tyn church. The guard told me it was this one. Not sure at all about it.

.that little blue house is where he lived in prague.

Theoretically there is a perfect possibility of happiness: believing in the indestructible element in oneself and not striving towards it...Franz Kafka

These statues stand outside the Kafka Museum, peeing into the pool. Apparently there's a phone number to which you can text a word and they'll pee the word in the pool.

plane book read in melbourne - do so recommend...specially if you like murakami; it's about a man with half a shadow, who talks to cats, and faces johnnie walker, a man who uses cat's souls. of course, there's a damsel, but she's cleverly disguised and doesn't seem to need much rescueing. He's a funny writer, there's kind of a self conscious homage to dickens in this (i think, anyway) but more sex than the rest of his books put together (which was a surprise!)

Kafka sits on an empty suit, an image from one of his stories. I think it's cool that he's so small compared to the image he created

In a little square in the middle of Dusni Street (Prague) you will find an amazing statue of the city's famous native, writer Franz Kafka.

The historic Jewish Quarter in Prague is where Kafka spent most of his life - and often features in his novels and short stories. He lived across the way, at 27 Dušní Street, and it's likely that he walked around this quiet square almost every day.
