Kafka was said to be fascinated by magnetism and playing with these made me think of him.
The state is always watching and you are always alone.

Franz Kafka spent most of his life in Prague, even though he always felt like a stranger there - a German speaking Jew in a predominately Czech Catholic town. Consequently, there are many sites in Prague that are of some interest to fans of Kafka's work.
Places that were personally occupied by Kafka include his birthplace, which is on the edge of Old Town Square; Dum U minuty, where he lived from 1889 to 1896; the Little Blue Cottage in Golden Lane, where he lived from 1916 to 1917; and the oppressive insurance office, now the Mercure Hotel, where Kafka worked from 1908 to 1922.

Some sources say that Franz Kafka had once a house from which he could see inside Tyn church. The guard told me it was this one. Not sure at all about it.

The only statue of Franz Kafka in his hometown, created in 2004, shows the famously depressed writer perched on a golem-like figure.
