Seen in the early '80s when the M25 around Chertsey was being constructed are these AEC Mammoth Major 6 tippers commonly referred to as 'Wimpey Tippers' so called because Wimpey Ltd were involved with their design.

Featuring an high volume PTO pump that could tip the underfloor ram body very quickly, these AEC's also featured the MkV cab even though most were built in the late '60s and early '70s.

Oldtimer- und Traktortreffen 2022 im Agroneum, Alt Schwerin

I was waiting in the Bahnhofs Restaurant after a trip to Goehren and back in an almost empty train, warmed by coal-burning stoves in the carriage, when these 3 fine lorries arrived for a drivers' break. It reminded me of the famous 1950s B movie called Hell Drivers, starring Stanley Baker Patrick McGoohan and William Hartnell. If you haven't seen it or bought it , do so. They were doing it in 4-wheel Dodges.

The "A" prefix registration indicates Bezirk Rostock, covering the NE corner of the GDR, now the Vorpommern part of the new Land of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The problem is that the old Pommern or Pomerania straddled the present Polish-German border, so it can't be called Mecklenburg-Pommern and ,of course, Germany cannot re-incorporate the whole of Pommern into the Federal Republic. Well, most Germans don't want to.....

Does anybody recognise the logo on the door ---looks like I above H or H with steel girder above it??

The Geely MK was built from 2006 until 2020. It was sold under other names too, like Geely KingKong... KrAZ in Ukraine was one of the assembly plants for the MK. This one is powered by a 1.6 litre engine. It's registered in Luhansk oblast in the East of Ukraine, now mostly ocuppied by Russian troops.

View into Khalamenyuka Street opposite the railway station. The ZiU-9 trolley bus, also known as the ZiU-682, is widespread in Russia and other former Soviet republics. Kremenchuk (Ukrainian: Кременчу́к, Russian: Кременчу́г, translit. Kremenchug), an important industrial city in central Ukraine, stands on the banks of the Dnieper River. Kremenchuk is the administrative center of the Kremenchuk Raion (district) in the Poltava Oblast (province). As of 1 February 2013 the city had a population of 225,892 people. Although smaller than most oblast centers, Kremenchuk has significance as a large industrial center in Ukraine and in Eastern Europe as the base of the KrAZ truck plant, Ukrtatnafta, and of the Kryukov Railway Car Building Works. The latter concern, one of the oldest railway repair and rail-car building factories in Eastern Europe, dates back to 1869.

ZiU-9, or ZIU-9 (Cyrillic: ЗиУ-9) is a Soviet and later Russian trolleybus vehicle. Other names and indexes for the same vehicle include ZiU-682 and HTI-682 (Cyrillic: ЗиУ-682 and ХТИ-682). The ZiU acronym stands for Zavod imeni Uritskogo, which is a plant named after Moisei Uritsky, the Russian revolutionary. Before 1996 this acronym was also a trademark of the vehicle manufacturer. It has been changed to Trolza. The ZiU-9 was put in mass production in 1971 and it was assembled until 2014 along with other more advanced trolleybus vehicles in the Trolza (former ZiU) factory. The total number of produced ZiU-9s exceeds 42,000 vehicles. In addition, many copies of ZiU-9 were made in other factories of the former Soviet bloc. This model is the most numerous trolleybus vehicle in the world. The serial production ZiU- 9 in 2014 was discontinued due to lack of demand for the model. (Wiki)

Model "Truck T14" KrAZ 255B 6x6 is build with LEGO® in scale 1:17,5 and motorized using LEGO® Power Functions®. It is a model of a KrAZ 255B 6x6 off-road truck which is used for extreme applications.

The truck features: solid axle suspension on all axles of which the rear axles use a tandem bogie suspension, PF powered driving on all axles 6x6 drive, reduced speed to increase power/torque, Servo powered steering, fully functional fifth wheel, modeled V8 engine, detailed cabin interior and two light units.

Scale: 1:17,5

Length: 477 mm (+ trailer 926 mm)

Weight: 1,92kg (+ trailer 2,41kg)

Parts: 1840 (+ trailer 2270)

As a tribute to this truck this project shows some of the unlimited possibilities. Even though this specific truck was never produced as a civilian truck however after its retirement it has been used as such. Within a couple of minutes it can be changed into one of the four different editions which include:

- Semi-truck with fifth wheel

- Ballast tractor with ballast box

- Trial Truck edition

- Log Truck with stinger steered trailer

So it is up to you what kind of job it does: just having fun as it being a Trial Truck, or will you give it a semi-trailer? Or will it be hauling logs?

Both front and rear axles are fitted with "Technic Steering Wheel Hub with 2 Pin Holes". These hubs have proved to be a real improvement, less friction and the wheels do not bend under the weight of the model as it would without.

This KrAZ 255B 6x6 model is powered by a YaAZ-238A V8 4-stroke Diesel Engine which is visible with the hood opened. This power source has 8 cylinders in a V setup with a displacement of 14,87 liters. The initial YaMZ-238 delivered 215 hp with a torque of 785 at 1500 rpm. Since 1966 the YaAZ-238A engine was installed and delivered 240 hp with a torque of 883 at 1500 rpm.

This detailed V8 engine is nice to build and to give it those realistic looks a total number of 80 parts is used. It is detailed with for example air filter, fan, fan belt, pulleys, hoses, by-pass oil filter and the exhaust system.

Together with much more engine bay details which are added the looks are phenomenal. These include break fluid reservoir, multiple reservoirs and details, radiator with tubing and steering shaft.

By opening the cabin doors the interior becomes visible. It shows a steering wheel, basic gauge setup, a gear shift and another shift to engage high or low gear and finally some basic seats.
