This is quite rare for HKG and one of the highlights of 2013 for me! MP984 taking off for Sharjah & Amsterdam after a late rotation leaving behind quite a bit of smoke.
This arrived from Xiamen an hour & a half earlier where it underwent maintenance and checks.
PH-MCS is 1 of only 6 MD-11CFs (Convertible Freighters) ever built.
The former Red Funnel catamaran "Red Jet 1" at Southampton on 14th September 2005. Withdrawn from Red Funnel service in 2009, the it was converted into an offshore supply vessel in 2018.

With additional 'East Midlands, Stansted' titles
A very early Saab SF.340 (c/n 020), this aircraft was first flown with the Saab test registration SE-E20. It was delivered to Crossair, Switzerland as HB-AHE in Mar-85. It was leased to Tatra Air, Czechoslovakia as OK-RGS in Mar-91 and returned to Crossair as HB-AHE in Apr-92.
The aircraft was wet-leased to Business Air, Scotland, UK in Jul-92. The wet-lease became a dry lease when it was re-registered G-GNTC in Sep-92. it was wet-leased to British Midland Airways in Jun-96.
Crossair sold it back to Saab in Jul-99 while the lease to Business Air and the wet-lease to British Midland continued. It was transferred to British Midland Commuter in Mar-98 and was withdrawn from service, returned to Saab and stored in Jul-99.
In Oct-99 the aircraft was leased to Aurigny Air Services, It was returned to Saab in May-06 and immediately sold to Bridges Worldwide Leasing as a Cargo / Express aircraft with seats removed. It was leased to Adria Airways, Slovenia as S5-BAM in Jun-06. It was leased o Solinair, Slovenia in May-08 and operated on behalf of Bridges Aviation.
In Jul-11 it was transferred to Air Scorpio, Bulgaria as LZ-SAB who continued to operated it on behalf of Bridges Aviation. It was permanently retired at Sofia, Bulgaria at the end of Jun-12 and stored. The aircraft was broken up at Sofia in 2016 and the parts were stored until it was put back together in 2018 and preserved and displayed outside the offices of 'Rumyana Hinkova', a transportation and logistics company, Kilifarevo, Bulgaria. To celebrate the grand opening of the new Area 51 Runway at Brickworld Chicago next week, I built this classic black CIA jet as featured in the American Dad episode “Camp Refoogee.”
The CIA is a popular target for conspiracy theorists so naturally “The Company” jet is shown secretly moving guns, drugs, and prisoners for interrogation. It features full interior and exterior lighting courtesy of Brickstuff, as well as custom stickers. I’ll leave it up to the viewer to determine whether or not this plane is just a modification of the Lego Town VIP jet, or an EXTRAORDINARY RENDITION of a classic government aircraft..
The Lego Area51 exhibit features scenes from over 30 classic Science Fiction Movies and Television shows.

Jet Provost XM479 of the Newcastle Jet Provost Company flies through the Esk Valley towards the Borders town of Langholm on his way home from Portrush Airshow in Northern Ireland.
British Midland's first jet was this Douglas DC-9-10 with the American registration N65358 and is seen here on final approach on Heathrow's 28L. It later took up UK registry as G-BFIH and then G-BMAA.
By coincidence, this airframe was previously with THY Turkish Airlines as TC-JAA, and was also their first jet aircraft, that being in 1967. I do remember the time when they had just the one jet and they chose to use it on their brand new service to Heathrow.
Likewise, when I pressed the shutter here, British Midland just had the one, and it was generally used on the route to Teesside.
