If this isn't a happy family, I don't know what is

Number 1 in "100 Pictures" : 'Silhouette'.

From my garden

I was hoping for some more exciting skies here in the bay area this winter but where the sky is lacking the low tide helped make up for.

As for the technical info, if you are interested: 3 stop soft grad, 1 stop ND filter and processed in Lightroom 4(Basically I just brought down the vibrance, saturation, and highlights a little bit. I also adjusted the color balance.

Date night part 2.

I went for a simple purple knee length dress, and this time round we went to one of my favourite haunts, The Star.

Because it was during the week, the place was pretty much empty although there was a guy who had his eye on me, and asked me if he could join us. I told him no - I was on a date! Lol.

Pre-date selfies at home.

I went out early morning New Years Day to chase the full moon. I live in suburbia and when I went out to get the paper I glanced up and saw moon half hidden by a fir tree. I decided to hop in my car to find a place to get an unobstructed view to take a photo. When I pulled over to the side of the rode the moon, I happened to look across the street and this is what I saw. I decided to take a few photos because the moon was covered by a few clouds. Long story short the moon never come out from the clouds. It was a twist a fate - the sunrise was much more spectacular than the moon. I hope you enjoy this photo.

I'm having better luck catching sunsets this year! This was taken from our backyard, looking south. The largest tree, in the center, is the Johnson's "lightning tree," a photo of which appears earlier in my photostream. The white house belongs to another neighbor who lives behind the Johnsons. This photo was taken on 1/15/2012, using a Canon PowerShot A1000-IS.

Just a night in at home for the first set.

What started out as snow, sleet and freezing rain has now changed over to all rain. Add some strong winds and this is about as close to going outside as I can muster. But, it sure is nice and cozy inside. ;)

(This is a our very old back door. Not all of these locks work. Apparently over the years, when a lock would break, instead of replacing it they just added another one! ;))

I found these in our little park in Munfordville Kentucky. Unusual for this time of year.

My good friend Sarah had the chance to come to Hull for a night and had not been before.

I took her for a little drive around - I took her to see the Humber Bridge (at night) and we had a little wander around the town centre, then went for a couple of drinks at The Star.

It's usually Leeds where I see Sarah so it was a really nice chance to show her around my home town. We did a couple of hours tour round the old town the next day too.
