Dumped in the Training Compound at Toton and covered in a light dusting of snow is stored 60090, 26th January 2013.

Locomotive History

60090 was built at the Brush Falcon works, Loughborough in 1992 and was officially accepted by British Rail on the 3rd February 1992, allocated to Toton MPD for coal traffic duties. It was stored for a couple of weeks in 2004 and for nine months in 2005 before its current period in store commenced on the 24th April 2008 (with 20829 engine hours since its last repair) due to bogie/wheel faults. It was moved into the Training Compound in December 2009.

It has not worked since and after fourteen years stored around Toton it was one of fourteen Class 60 locomotives sold to DCRail and moved to Loughborough in 2022 for further storage.
