I mentioned to my mom that I was thinking of getting a Pug. And she bought me this for Christmas.

Southerness Lighthouse is the second oldest purpose-built lighthouse still in existence in Scotland. It was built by Dumfries Town Council to guide ships over the Nith Estuary and the treacherous sandbars of the inner Solway Firth. The unusual square-based tower was twice raised in height until it reached its current height of nearly 20 metres. The light was decommissioned in 1936.

For my 365 Day Project, I've decided to focus on two primary shortcomings in my photography. 1) My innefficiency with editing and 2) my flash work. So some of the pictures will be re-edits of previous pictures I've taken throughout the years and some will be brand new.

Just me and the baby today so we decided to go walking and have a wide angle lens refresher. The path was so muddy I was up to my ankles in it and the pushchair kept getting stuck. I wished I had bought the decent off road pushchair with me and worn hiking boots. Live and learn though!

Today's daily photo is due to the forced screening of "Waiting for Superman" at my school. Seems some of the parents are on a political agenda mission to showcase the film that includes a Q&A afterwards with one of the producers. Of course the producer is friends with one of the parents behind this. Rather than having a full blown discussion about the film ahead of time and calling into question many of its' false claims, there was none. Instead the film is being shown on campus with administrative consent (go figure that one) and the teachers are left to defend the very core of what they do everyday. I hate the title since Superman is a fictional character from DC Comics and the real reasons many of our public schools are in the condition they are is due in NO part to the teachers. There are "supermen and superwomen" on every campus across this country. It just seems that nobody wants to recognize the triumphs and accomplishments, they would rather emphasize and exaggerate the trials and tribulations. And I ask the following: How is it possible to wait for Superman at your local school when more often than not Lex Luthor is working in the office or worse running the school?

Rare moment of snow on the Island, so much so I couldn't even get to work.

My favorite 12 images from 2014

A folder drawing in progress. The wallpaper was in the entry hall of my parent's house and the mountains are from Rygar, one of my favorite NES games.

it's been cold hereabouts at night so one bundles up to go out...........must put up the color version of this as well.
