Jade vine's flowers are the color of a jade ranging from blue-green to mint green, depending on the variety of the vine. This inflorescence is yet to bloom. It is in fact a hanging bunch...

Green and red is one of my favorite color combinations and I thought this jade plant was such an attractive example of it. I think I'm addicted to succulents.
On a completely unrelated note, what are your thoughts on photo watermarking? I've gone back and forth on this topic for years now, but never ultimately committed to the idea. I've recently reconsidered to at least help provide a more obvious clue back to the source.

This Jade Plant was in one of the greenhouses at the Saskatoon Farm. I added a touch of filter to the image in post-processing, as the white flowers were blown out. I don't normally see Jade flowers - really quite pretty.
Along with all our fairly recent snow, everywhere turned white. Can't complain, though, as mild, fall weather lasted well into November, which was wonderful. So thankful that I managed to get out for groceries before the freezing fog arrived. On 3 December 2024, our weather turned 'warmer', which felt really good. Today, 11 December, it is overcast and our temperature is PLUS 2°C (feels like 0°C). Sunrise was at 8:30AM and sunset will be at 4:29PM.
I decided to make the short drive as far as the Saskatoon Farm late morning on 3 December. Their last day to be open will be 15 December, and then the Farm remains closed to the public till about 14 February. The owners and staff work so hard and deserve a good break for a few weeks.
My main reason to go to the Farm was that I wanted to catch a few Christmas decorations to photograph. I also bought a few food items to enjoy over the next while.
There are two of these red structures side by side. Though the fronts make them look like barns, they are in fact false fronts of two large greenhouses.
After the farm, I drove past a snowman in a farm yard along a back road. I'm not sure what it was made of - could they be old tires? I also quickly stopped to take a photo or two of a couple of my favourite old barns, in a winter setting.
It felt so good to get out for a short while that day. In the whole month of November, I only went out once for a drive, again to the Saskatoon Farm. This was partly because of trying to get my computer out of the 'danger zone' (i.e. out of space) and also because of an awful spell of cold weather. Still need to gradually do a lot more deleting.

It is a tropical, climbing relative of our garden favorites from the Pea (Fabaceae) family that include Beans, Peas, Sweet Peas, Wisteria and others.
The name comes from the almost neon, blue-green flowers.

Description: Every now and then, a racer enters a mecha into the Mecha Racing League that is just flat out unusual. Grace Blitz's Jade is one of those. Grace Blitz has a doctorate in both mecha engineering and entomology, so when she decided to design a mecha for the MRL, she modeled it after some of her favorite things: beetles and grasshoppers. Jade's six legged frame is incredibly stable and can handle numerous different types of terrain with ease. Unfortunately, it is not very agile on the ground. Thankfully, Grace designed her mecha with the Burst Jump ability. With Burst Jump, Jade fires the twelve boosters on its undercarriage to leap into the air. This allows it to get extreme air time and vault over the much taller competition. When the Jade isn't scurrying over the finish line in the speed division, it is often teemed up with Grace's brother Grit's Jasper in the MIX division of MRL.
- Build Notes -
This one was weird. I built this in under twenty-four hours, and it started out as a quadrupedal mech. I ended up changing it to be a beetle when I realized that the proportions were off. I am pretty happy with how this turned out, but it definitely isn't my best work.

Jäder Kyrka (The Church of Jäder) is a parish church in Jäder the most eastern parish of the district of Rekarne in Eskilstuna municipality, Sweden. It’s impressive size have earned it the nickname Rekarne Katedral (The Cathedral of Rekarne). The name Jäder is akin to Icelandic Jadhar that means coast which tells that this area consisted of islands and islets that realativly late have risen from the surrounding lake Mälaren. Rekarne was one of the earliest districts that become Christian in Svealand already in the early 11th century. The first church in Jäder was probably build in the middle of the 11th century and was a wooden stave church. During the 12th century a stone church in Romanesque style replaced the wooden church. From this original Romanesque church now only remains parts of the northern wall. The church was enlarged during the 13th and 14th century on initiative by the nobles at nearby ranches of Fiholm and Strand that wished that the parish should have respectable church. In the early 15th century massive western towers was built on the cathedrals of Uppsala, Strängnäs, Västerås and Åbo (Turku), but also the parish church of Jäder was enlarged with a large western tower.
The family of Oxenstierna took over the ranch of Fiholm in 1562 when Royal adviser Gabriel Kristiernson Oxenstierna received the ranch from King Erik XIV. The most well-known member of the family Oxenstierna is the grandson of Gabriel Kristiernson Oxenstierna , Axel Gustafsson Oxenstierna af Södermöre that served as Lord High Chancellor of Sweden from 1612 to 1654 under both King Gustavus Adolphus and later Queen Christina. Axel Oxenstierna is widely considered one of the most influential people in Swedish history that laid the foundations of Swedish central government administration. Axel Oxenstierna hired the most prominent architect at that time, Nicodemus Tessin the Elder, for a major rebuilt of both the church of Jäder and the ranch of Fiholm. During the 17th century crypt for the Oxenstierna was added in the east end of the church. In 1643 a new tall tower spire was added to the church making the tower impressingly 77 meter tall, almost a record for a parish church. In 1659 another crypt, Braheska gravkoret (the crypt of Brahe) was added, after 1659 no major changes been made the church. The tall tower spire was destroyed by lightning in 1694, after some temporary solutions the tower was provided with a lantern with a cupola in 1762. The lantern did not match the style of the church very well so well-known architect Helgo Zettervall was hired to design a new spire that was added in 1880 which gave the church its present look.
Since 1995 Jäder no longer has its own congregation, insted the church of Jäder is one out of six churches in Kafjärdens congregation with nearby Church of Kjula as main church.

Women's long jump. Jade Nimmo of Sale Harriers, Manchester, was 6th with 6.29.
Shara Proctor won with a jump of 6.84, but perhaps the biggest surprise was that the silver medal went to young Jazmin Sawyers from Stoke. Proctor jumped more than 7.0 metres but it was judged to be a foul - just. Sawyers's best of 6.50 was a SB; Dominique Blaize was 3rd with 6.47.
Fazia mais de um mês que não esmaltava de vermelho...já estava com saudade de usar essa cor, então escolhi o Magma, um vermelho jelly com microbrilhos dourados!! Lindo, lindo!! Ele é bem chatinho pra esmaltar: mancha e é ralo, então passei três camadas, e acho que por causa do calorão que está fazendo aqui o coitado encheu de bolinhas, aí pra eliminá-las, passei TC da Impala!
