I don't really like having house plants and this time of year most pot plants around the garden aren't doing much. So this Jade is the only one I have to photograph. I used to have one years ago but tired of it and gave it away. Also called Crassula Ovata or Money Tree Plant, it is an easy to grow succulent, also easy to propagate. Recently my daughter gave me one which had grown rather too tall for my liking so I cut the top off and this is the result, a more rounded shape. The one she gave me is also now a better shape. Some leaves which fell off I put in damp soil and they sprouted so I ended up with six plants, some to give away.

The small pleasures in life.

The Street Walker

Ybor City, FL.......I was with my friends at the Blind Tiger on 7th Avenue.....I saw her sitting at a table behind me.....After a couple of minutes, I approached her, introduced myself and explained my street project.....She told me her name is Jade......we chatted for a bit and she told me she is an Ybor local and a nutritionist...…I asked and she allowed me to photograph her.....thank you, Jade ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

While visiting Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Florida, we came across this flowering jade in a pot sitting on a wall.

This is a single flower from a Jade Vine, which is just starting to bloom this time of year. I noticed the critter when I was setting up the shot, and decided it would fit right in.

These are one of my favorite flowers, and I'd never tried to photograph one up close before. My shots of the entire hanging flower bunches haven't worked very well, but I'm fairly happy with this single flower shot.
