The previous iteration of the Duple-Metsec body on the Dominator-derived tri-axle chassis, which in its CMB form was badged as the Condor, is depicted here in the shape of DL3, first of the 12 metre variant supplied only to CMB in this configuration, with several finding their way to the UK for further use after their Hong Kong careers ended prematurely with the loss of CMB's franchise in 1997 and the move to full air-conditioned operations by New World First. Seen here at North Point Ferry in October 1992 when just over 3 years old.

An iteration on the base body with more aggressive shaping. I had in my head the P-61 Black Widow night fighter; a really heavy-looking fighter that was tough as nails. Like it's almost too big to be a fighter.
Hope's source. Who could have guessed it would be so simple, and complex, at the same time?

My (latest) iteration of the Eagle IV armoured vehicle, manufactured by the Swiss "Mowag" corporation and primarly used as a light patrol vehicle by the German Bundeswehr.
Erik pointed out a viable windscreen design (and a few design flaws...), while Sven gave me a ton of advice on how to get the frontal shape a little closer to the original. Thanks guys!

Made it a bit shorter and changed the shape of the side openings--it still gaps horribly away from the body in back (most visible in the third photo), but, as it is, it's still a tight fit when being pulled over the hips, and the whole point of this pattern is that there are no added fasteners, and I'm not sure how much farther forward the sides can come before things start to clash with modesty, so...um...we'll see, I guess. And I definitely like the fact that it leaves easy room for wings, and it might accommodate multiple arms, too...
The newest iterations of Apple's iPhones hit the shelves in Hong Kong on Friday.
Hongkongers have been lining up at the tech giant's stores to be among the first to get their hands on them.
The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus were only available to those who had "pre-registered" and Apple has decided to initially release the phones in Hong Kong and not the mainland.
This pushed the resale value of the new phones, which cost between HK$5,500 to over HK$8,000, through the roof.
Some of the iPhone-buyers at Apple's Hysan Place shop in Causeway Bay said they were hoping to make thousands of dollars in profit.

The T1000 is an advanced iteration by Sirius Cyberdine Industries of their popular TR37 tracked rover. Updates include larger size cabin and tracks, a new polymercarbonate bubble windscreen that opens from the bottom to allow easy driver access, updated and more powerful instrumentation inside, a 360-degree multi-wavelength camera, unitized remote antenna, comprehensive communications array that can also be used as a defensive ray in emergency situations, and now all TR1000's come with a helper robot as well. The robot is quite useful when harsh conditions prevent the operators from going outside the unit. Sirius Cyberdine also had the foresight to include advanced personality modules within the helper bots, thus providing companionship to solo operators. Field reports indicate that the bots, while reliable and trustworthy companions, tend to get a bit of snarkiness in their personality chips over long deployments.

Enjoy and thanks for looking!
The many iterations of the Viper meant that my design had to be adaptable. When embarking on a design project as complex as the F-16, I usually consider the most difficult variant first. If I can come up with a satisfactory design solution, I can backtrack to the “simpler” variants confidently. I use versions in my design work and begin with a baseline model (V1). From there, I test out the adjustments necessary to accommodate unique features. For the Viper, this includes things like the two-seat variant, the enlarged dorsal spine, the intake-mounted pylons, the conformal fuel tanks, or the horizontal tailplanes.
During the design process, I discover what modifications are necessary for the baseline model and move to the next iteration (V2, V3, and so on). I always keep my older models just in case I need to return to an earlier design feature, and I always keep the most current version as a “clean” model with no camouflage or variant adjustments. I create a unique model derived from my current baseline model for each variant or country-specific paint scheme. As you can imagine, this creates a long list of models to managecorrectly (thank goodness for my OCD).
At the time of this upload, I am on version 4.1 of the F-16 and have 12 Block/variant baseline models, three ordinance and avionic models, and 45 country variants, some with unique arrangements such as sitting on the tarmac with other aircraft. What started years ago as a curious hobby, each new model has morphed into an all-consuming project. I may have to reexamine my life choices…

Not a well known fact today, but early iterations of what we now call 'tractors' were powered by steam engines. Not only that, they weren't called 'tractors' but 'traction engines', kind of like a 'stem engine' but for providing tractive ground locomotion.
It is easy to see how they then became known as 'tractors'.
In the Steampunk universe, the primary energy system winds back 150 years to the steam boiler. If we were then to trace this through to the present (mostly), we should end up with something a bit like this:
The 'Royal Express Heavy Steam Traction Engine'. Kind of the steam-powered version of today 400 hp tractors.
Much of the other required innovations are still present: big broad tyres, multiple lights, lifting and drive fixtures front and rearm, glassy cabin for good visibility, mirrors and warning lights. All presented in the ornate Steampunk style.
Key changes are the steam boiler and condenser in place of a petrol or diesel internal combustion engine, and the use of, and storage systems within the tractor for coal or other suitable heat generation. Actually, many stationary power systems today rely on steam, electricity generation supplied by coal-powered stations powers most of Australia's energy transmission (electricity) needs, though in other countries the use of nuclear energy still uses steam generation to run turbines. But I digress. I think much of the fun of steampunk is living within a universe being polluted by steam-powered machines with minimal particulate cleaning.
This Lego miniland-scale Steampunk 'Royal Express - Heavy Steam Traction Engine' has been created for Flickr LUGNuts' 86th Build Challenge, - 'Steampunk Motorworks', - a challenge to create land vehicles in Steampunk style and form.
The latest iteration of the F-16 is the Block 70/72, unveiled at the 2012 Singapore Airshow. Known as the F-16V “Viper” (the “V” suffix is a company term, not an official USAF designation), the new aircraft will feature enhancements over the Block 60, including an AN/APG-83 active electronically scanned array (AESA) all-weather radar, an upgraded modular mission computer (MMC) and architecture intended to complement fifth generation fighters, the ability to fit conformal fuel tanks, and cockpit improvements including colour multifunctional displays, a large high-resolution centre pedestal display (CPD), helmet-mounted cueing system, and a high-volume, high-speed data bus. The Viper uses the F100-PW-229 or F110-GE-129 turbofan engine, with both generating similar output of around 29,000 lbf (129 kN) on full afterburner. The F-16V will be able to carry a wide variety of air-to-air missiles and air-to-ground munitions.
Lockheed Martin received several contracts from other countries currently operating the F-16 for upgrading to the new Block 70 standard. These include the Royal Bahraini AF, Hellenic AF, Republic of Korea AF, Royal Moroccan AF, and Turkish AF. In addition to these upgrades, the Royal Bahraini AF, Royal Moroccan AF, and Turkish AF are purchasing new Block 70 aircraft. The Slovak AF and Bulgarian AF have chosen the F-16V to replace their aging MiG-29s. In this image, the first Block 70 F-16V (serial number: 18-0011, RBAF 1611) for the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF) rolls out of the Lockheed Martin plant in Greenville, South Carolina. The RBAF will purchase 16 new F-16Vs and upgrade its existing Block 40 F-16Cs to F-16V standards.

A few more design iterations and I'm sure I can get full coverage with just one squirt.
Strange though... there's a distinct smell of burning skin and...

Yup.
Incidentally... don't try this. This is another one of those photos that you think will be fun, but actually burns your skin and results in shaving foam everywhere.

I know you'd love to:
The top represents the second iteration of this wall. The first was similar but lacked the light grey path next to it.
I thought it didn't look realistic/heavy enough, so I widened it from 4 to 6 studs. I think it's an improvement, though I may need to make it a brick higher because it looks a bit low. What do you think?
My Iteration of the Unholy Mackerels Telephone Fighter. Tried to incorporate some of the shaping of Tyler's original, Some of the mad details and play features of Mikes, and of course add a bit of my own flavor as well. This was a fun challenge! Looking forward to see where Fred takes it next... (I'll link to some more photos for you on brickshelf)

"Alux" refers to a kind of helper spirit in Mayan mythology.
A while back, I made a few different types of "weapon bits" (see here: flic.kr/p/QZVTQe), which I couldn't build IRL because I didn't have enough of part 20612, which serves as the core of the design. Since then, I've bricklinked a handful and spent some time trying (and failing) to improve on those original designs.
I've been wanting to expand my PFi Demo Team, which was in bad need of some spot-bots, so I took up the task once again and finally came up with these. Much like my OTSDF Spec. Ops squad, it takes two small units on a plate to make a frame-equivalent - each drone mounts two systems and represents a white die, so it's fun and easy to customize and show damage!
Finally for this Tuesday teaser set... this particular image teases not this week's featured store, but rather a blog post I just put up last week, which I invite you to check out here! It's the first (official) post in the blog's new “Beyond the Mid-South” series, which allows me to dump a bunch of photos I don't want to post to flickr while bypassing the Mid-South location requirement highlights stores and sights I've seen while on vacation in places outside of the region.
Of all the images featured in that post, I chose this shot specifically to share with y'all here because it features all three iterations of Project Impact secondary signs in one frame... this is explained better in the photo notes (and at the blog post itself, of course), but from right to left, you've got the original 3D version, the flattened 2D version, and finally the cheapo final version! I saw this very odd scene at a remodeling Walmart in Louisville, Kentucky. For more pictures from that store, and other random places, please check out the post at the link above!
And lastly, speaking of links... clicking any (or all!) of these will take you to my music recommendations for this week :)

The third iteration of the original Leica M4, the M4-P, is the successor to the M4-2 or the rangefinder that saved Leitz's rangefinder line of cameras. Produced in Midland, Ontario, by Ernst Leitz Canada and released in 1980. The M4-P offers up auto-adjusting frame lines for a set group of focal lengths and is often called the inexpensive M-Series Rangefinder.

This is a new iteration of the sketch we pushed out a week ago www.flickr.com/photos/65995199@N00/3535538526/
The XD was the first iteration of the project known as 'Blackwood' - the new Falcon launched in 1979. The result was a large family car, designed to look as modern and compact as possible, despite being based on the preceding XA-XC Falcon platform, itself derived from the US model of 1966.
The car had a very modern appearance for the time, very crisp edged, in the manner of Pininfarina and Italdesign designs seen in Europe on cars such as the FIAT 130 and the VW Golf.
The fuel crises during the 1970s had led to a number of studies to develop a smaller, lighter car, potentially in combination with Mazda. Indecision (a common Ford malady) led to a re-skin of the existing car, despite an observed swing to smaller cars. The Blackwood was fitted with 3.3L and 4.1L inline six-cylinder engines, along with 5.0L and 5.8L V8 engines.
The main Australian competitor, Holden, had developed a new car, derived from the GM Europe V-Var platform, debuting in 1978, including a 4-cylinder engine, had Ford sweating out the remainder of the year, with ever-reducing sales of the outgoing XC Falcon model.
Despite these headwinds, there was still a perceived customer need for a broad rear seat, an advantage that Ford made the most of in advertising materials for the new car.
Enter the 1980s, and despite a general movement to smaller cars, a reduction in fuel prices, along with fuel efficiency gains to the Falcon engine (in conjunction with Honda), let to an upswing in Falcon sales (at the expense of the Commodore, delivering Ford Australia market leadership for the first time.
The indecision that had put the company at risk had delivered the car that the market had wanted once the fuel crisis had subsided. Ford enjoyed healthy profits throughout the life of Blackwood (1979-1988), while Holden had required significant cash-injections from its GM parent to provide the funds to develop a bigger car as a more direct competitor to the Falcon (the VN Commodore) in late 1988.
Shown here is the XD Falcon wagon model (with optional driving lights), which drove on a longer wheelbase than the regular sedan model. This was popular with families, as the second row could be optioned with four seatbelt positions. Like a few models this month, a model just like this was owned by family friends at the time.
An curious little anecdote. For some reason my father (who was otherwise quite mechanically practical) when offered to drive the car at some point, and for inexplicable reason, was unable to drive the car, as he did not know how to operate the automatic transmission controls - odd that I can remember this detail from 35 years ago.
This second iteration of the Plaxton Pointer I depicts a standard 8.5m version in the provincial version of Arriva’s corporate livery. A candidate for the term ‘box on wheels’, the Pointer was nevertheless a neat and well-proportioned design. Arriva Shires & Essex provides services in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and Hertfordshire, with services extending into Oxfordshire and Greater London. Operations are split between two registered companies, Arriva East Herts & Essex Limited, successor to London Country North West; and Arriva The Shires Limited, successor to Luton & District Transport (26-Mar-21).

Here is my second iteration of one of my favorite ships of Star Wars -- the Delta-7 Aethersprite Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter.
@khatmorg & @atlas_er are big influences on this design -- especially the cockpit area of @khatmorg & the wings by @atlas_er. Biggest difference in mine is the overall length is shorter by two studs (which I think is more accurate).
Overall I'm really happy with how it came out. I tried my best to eliminate all gaps, and make it smooth as possible. I've very proud of the green accent on the back wings, and how I was able to keep the front wing/hood area smooth.
I couldn't squeeze in rear landing gear, but I love how the underside came out.

The last iteration for the week, back at Pikes Peak but with Pro Image 100, a film I'd not shot before. C41 kit although a bit long in the tooth was able to handle without much issue. With such a vista the Xpan was just a joy to use despite the freezing cold and winds on this 14-er. I didn't bring gloves so had to heat my hands on some tea and of course, since they were available, the requisite donuts made at the high altitude. Thanks again to those flicker-ans who continue to share their images - they are fantastic!
The plotted results from a MATLAB simulation whereby many iterations of a device are iterated in order to optimize for performance.
Thráin (left) and Thrór (right) were the father and grandfather, respectively, of Thorin Oakenshield. Thrór was King Under the Mountain when the Dragon Smaug attacked Erebor and drove its citizens away. He later tried to reclaim the lost kingdom of Moria but Azog beheaded him, sparking the great Dwarf and Goblin Wars. After the culmination of those wars, Thráin tried to lead a quest to retake Erebor but ultimately failed. The Necromancer captured him and tortured him to death, taking the last of the 7 Rings of the Dwarf Lords.
Hope you guys enjoy my take on these characters! I have taken aspects from the books and movies to make them and I'm pleased with the results! These are actually the second iteration of these characters, you can see the original on my MOCPages page.
As always, don't forget to fave and comment!
