SIX is an experimental electronic, surround sound performance series presented by the BFA in Video and Sound program. This iteration of SIX will feature renowned international sound artist Robert Henke along with several other performers. In lieu of traditional listening orientation, the music and sound is produced in an open, multi-directional format. This allows the performer, sound, environment, and audience to form an exploratory relationship. The audience is encouraged to walk around, lay down (bring a pillow or blanket if you like), and experience the sound from different angles.

Recursion examples for my iterations workshops in Amiens, France.
This is a series of workshops that looks in detail at four fundamental concepts in programming ; variables, functions, control structures and iteration. In each workshop I tackle one of these concepts, discussing their use and applications within artistic practices.
The above image was produced using a simple recursion program that highlights the particularity of functions calling themselves in a program. Written in Processing after reading a wonderful article by the great Robert Sedgewick :

This image is an iteration of a third test of additive color. This test attempts to determine whether luminance provided to a surface by a light source can affect additive color.
Setup: A large rectangle of black velvet was laid flat on the floor, and three identical rectangles of white ("snowcap") cardstock were laid on top of the velvet. The camera shutter was opened. An external flash unit with a red gel was fired once from a height of approximately 30 inches. One rectangle (sheet) was removed. The flash was fired again. A second sheet was removed. The flash was fired for a third time and the third sheet was removed. The camera shutter was closed.
The sheet that appears to be on the bottom of the pile, the darkest sheet, was actually on top and the first one to be removed after one flash of the strobe. The middle sheet was the second one removed after two flashes. The bottom sheet, with three flashes, is the brightest one. The edges of sheet are visible as shadow lines on the sheets underneath them.
The added light should provide more colors for light painting.
The gel used was Rogue Lighting Filters Bright Red (f-stop loss 3 1/2). The flash unit used was a Yongnuo YN-568EX II 4-Channel TTL Flash Speedlite for Canon E-TTL/E-TTL II Cameras. A flash unit was used to provide more control over the amount of light to be supplied. Its output is more measurable and repeatable than a flashlight timed by a human.

More info from Raven B Model - Iteration 10. Mach 8-10 Hypersonic Business Jet. Previous post lnkd.in/enxwifA was a new iteration update. Cleaning some things up, as I am not a graphics designer. Engineering, physics, etc yes. This post covers some technical aspects while still sanitizing everything.

Overall, this single aircraft design that is ready for building and going into serial production absolutely obliterates Lockheed's SR-72 (Mach 5) by DOUBLE the margins and a fraction of the costs, and BOOM, Virgin Galactic, etc.
Sure it can economically cruise at Mach 3-4.5 supersonically at under 50% throttle as well, but 7,000-8,000 NM Range at Mach 10 at over 100,000ft altitude and normalized hypersonic flight along with 6,000F thermal resistence.

Extensive CFD refinement over many years, along with material science, and several upcoming patent filings for individual technology advancements, along with 2nd gen high pressure conforming tanks that utilize graphene inner shells at 2,000,000 PSI tensile strength normalizing 16,000 PSI high pressure storage vessels. Everything else is already developed as well.

First iteration/test ride. The rear end needs to be aligned, as the rear tire is almost rubbing on the chain stay. Other than that, it rides great! Work in progress (as they used to call Finnegan's Wake): still need a Simplex front der, French fenders, and a few other sundry things. I'm still getting used to adjusting and tightening the old simplex seat post—thus the skyward pointed saddle.

Extreme capabilities, unseen by the humans including black programs. H2 fueled (kero based scramjet engines are not able to operate long above M6) with a kero reserve for ferry flights, subsonic, etc. It can adapt in flight from 100% kero through 100% H2 making it an advanced hybrid.
Summary technologies of the below (real, not academics) 49' length, less then 6' height, 25' span
-6000+F thermal resistance (3rd gen, normalizing high hypersonic flight and orbital re-entry making ablatives and ceramics obsolete entirely)
-graphene airframe (33X tensile strength of titanium but 1/100th the weight of styrofoam)
-VTOL (advanced vtol capabilities, which every aspect is composites)
-u-tbcc propulsion (thru m15 in atmosphere, unified turbine based combined cycle dual mode ramjet/scramjet)
-graphene based super conducting motors for the lift fans (no antiquated shaft driven lift fans)
-H2 Compressed, 1,600 gallons 16,000 PSI (already flown, and patented, publicly, 2nd gen is 16,000 PSI)
-400 gallon kero reserve (hybrid capable)
-Internal bay 154" length to accommodate 1 2,000 JDAM or 3 500 LBS and anything else in between
-3,000+NM RANGE from subsonic through hypersonic, ie Mach 9-14. Super Cruise is an estimated Mach 3. Is able to operate in ramjet mode as well, not just scramjet mode.
-The payload bay can also house a range extender tank conforming internally adding an additional 1,000+ nm range under power for longer range flights used for ferrying and also during intelligence gathering operations, mainly over russia and china.
-Folding wings (16' span folded) for naval operations + Internal tail hook
-Overall weight, at max payload of 3,000 LBS, Kero, and H2, apx 12,300 LBS (Less then the empty weight of an F-35. This is because H2 but also graphene airframe, and graphene/carbide hybrid surfacing)
-USAF version, just remove the lift fans and add more fuel capacity, give an additional 1,000+nm range internally

Chippewa 350 - 14 Passenger Medium Lift VTOL Fixed Wing Aircraft - Iteration 1
www.ioaircraft.com/vtol/Chippewa350.php
Passengers: 14 Commercial / 21 Military
Total Length: 45'
Total Span: 38' 5"
Power: 2 X U-GTG Turbine (H2/Kero) / 88 X 2.5KW Fuel Cells
Motors: 4 Time Super Magnetic Graphene Based
Range: 1,000+ NM Kero or H2 Exclusively / 2,000 NM, Both Simultaneously
Performance: 350 KT Cruise
Safety: Aircraft also equipped with a BRS (Ballistic Recovery System)
This has been on the drawing board Per se (years of other developments into a new aircraft design) for a long time, it's not a priority, I was bored so I finalized iteration 1.
All technologies developed. Even the wings, they are not hinged control surfaces but wing warping control surfaces. H2/Kero Hybdrid and can switch between either
Rotors are HIGH thrust supersonic with shock elimination. Motors are all graphene based (double S/HP and NO HEAT), Engines U-GTG. At forward flight, rotors (not props) then cycle down the rpm as needed but cruises well above 300kts. Flight dynamics are high performance, unlike the V-22 Osprey. Turbines are mainly for 350kt cruise.
Overall Estimates are accurate. This is first images on the net. There are not even landing pages for it or on other platforms (yet)

My final iteration of the red and green dresses was to try the green dress on a Nu Face doll. And who better than Alejandra Luna Billion Dollar Beauty with her red hair and beautiful jade green eyes. Alejandra gives me a distinct aristocratic bad girl vibe so that's what I was aiming to express in this photoshoot - like she's just got home from a party in the early hours and has taken her shoes off to sneak in via the library and maybe she will have a sneaky shot of whisky on the way...

Alex had a unique approach to the production of his design folio work. Alex was constantly drawing. He spent most of his classtime just drawing, even when he was supposed to be doing something else. He needed to draw to think. So what you see here isn't necessarily pretty but this folio is stuffed with ideas. Alex's approach demonstrates precisely and accurately the method of idea generation and refinement promoted by the department. Note the large number of drawings on eachpage. this allows the student to easily cross reference and tag from one idea to the next. Extensive annotation also helps to reveal design thinking and comments should always be relevant and refer back to the specification. It is clear that Alex has a thorough understanding of the more technical aspects of the course and he repeatedly suggests ways in which his concepts might be made.
Alex went on to do very well at Higher Product Design. Some of his work also features on this site. He's now studying maths at Warwick University.
The last iteration of my startrails efforts from 3 dark nights in September. This one uses the "cumulative" feature of the StarStax program to add the trail of each new image to the last, then all the new cumulative files are brought together with video software (ProShow Producer for me). Licensed music from David Wurst.
Camera details: Canon 5D Mark II, 24-105L at F4, ISO 5000, 30 seconds x 341 exposures - around 3 hours' worth. So this is 3 hours condensed into one minute. Cool.
Looks best if you play it full-screen (punch the 4-arrow symbol in the right-hand corner).

CAMP ITAMI, Japan - Yama Sakura 69 stands as the latest iteration of one of the world’s largest bilateral command post exercises. More than a 1,000 American and Japanese service members stationed throughout the Pacific implement cutting edge technology to fight a fictitious foe threatening Japan’s sovereignty.
As sophisticated computer programs project scores of simulated battles on hundreds of screens, a small yet expertly trained group of U.S. Army Soldiers, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) service members and Department of Defense civilians maintain and monitor a cohesive network that connects two Armies training across thousands of square miles.
Led by U.S. Army Japan, YS 69’s G6 section coordinates with its JGSDF counterparts to develop a reliable system that produces realistic training simulations while simultaneously establishing thousands of communication links that enable the countless phone calls, email messages and video teleconferences necessary to establish command and control of the virtual battlefield.
Since the team’s arrival in mid-November, G6 has overcome a myriad of challenges from internet connectivity to live video streaming to create a common operating picture that demonstrates the empowering partnership between the U.S. Army and JGSDF. Many members of the team will remain in Camp Itami in the days after the exercise's conclusion to repack equipment and reconfigure networks.
