Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Secluded from the busy street in an alleyway and isolated from the bustle with headphones, I just loved the inclusion of the alley in this shot. Enjoy!
One of five photos taken on my walk from my condo to Sunnyside beach in Toronto yesterday.
This is a grebe.

In the days of slide film and medium format cameras! This is a blast from the past, shot during a holiday in Tuscany back in 2005. In those days I carried 3 camera bodies (medium format, xPan and 35mm). It cost me more in excess luggage on a well known budget airline than the air fare itsef.
I do so love Tuscany, with the rolling green fields, cypress trees perched on the top and my favourtite flower, the poppy.
"Just a boy and a little girl
Trying to change the whole wide world
Isolation
The world is just a little town
Everybody trying to put us down
Isolation
I don't expect you to understand
After you've caused so much pain
But then again, you're not to blame
You're just a human, a victim of the insane
We're afraid of everyone
Afraid of the sun
Isolation
The sun will never disappear
But the world may not have many years
Isolation"
John Lennon

The San Justa lift stands isolated between the tall buildings in the foreground. Designed in 1902 by Raoul Mesnier de Ponsard who was an admirer of Gustave Eiffel. Explaining the similarities between the two structures. Creating a graphic black & white version of the original I got rid of all the distracting colours of the outfits and bags of all the tourists. Bringing it back to the essence of design and the isolation...
