The gateway to the Underworld. Where, on the other side, one can visit with Hades playing badminton against Hel. Where Ereshkigal makes a fine spread of corn muffins. Where the Devil and Osiris gang up on poor old Xibalba, pantsing him and giving him a swirlie in the community toilets.

Shot on film on an Ilford Sporti toy camera, Tri-X 400 (120), developed in Rodinal. Seems a good deal grainier than on my pc

Taken on a recent visit to the Lake District. As I drove up through Windermere the fog was quite thick in places, and I knew that if the conditions remained the same when I arrived on location, that this would help to isolate the tree on the lake.

Thanks for looking....

Here's a location I scouted in summer but only just got around to shooting properly - some of you might even recognise this scene from my instagram.

This build was inspired by the art of Ian Mcque and even more so by this model by an unknown builder. I actually built a little base for it with a wave rising up, covering the stand, but I settled for this edit instead. I might bring the base to conventions in the future :)

The icebergs along ice beach are truly a work of art. Each one is unique and vary in clarity, color, size, and shape. Initially, I skipped over this image because all the white space around the ice lacked texture and interest. On another look I decided I liked the white because it keep the focal point of the image on the ice, especially with the small opening of black sand leading to ice as the white wash surrounded it.

På gårsdagens spadseretur ved Gyldensteen Strand mødte jeg adskillige mennesker, som ikke kunne modstå det gode vejr.

Alle holdt den behørige afstand på et par meter.

Beneath an endless sky, with the luxury of enjoying a stunning beach in splendid isolation with just the sound of the sea and the call of a lone kittiwake to disturb your reverie, if you want to get away from it all, then the Outer Hebrides is the place for you.

Explored May 9 - #478. Thank you everyone :-)

By its very nature the beautiful is isolated from everything else. (Hannah Arendt)

This is a bit of a documentary photo taken in India and shows that what we call isolation is nothing compared to the isolation caused by poverty, this was taken very early in the morning so i guess this person has been there all night.

Taken on the way home near the Scottish Highland village of Lairg stands this isolated little cottage. Little did I know at the time how my interpretation of Isolation would change over just a few weeks with the current outbreak of the Covid19 pandemic.

Still I am sure that this building will remain after the virus has passed as hopefully will all of those who take the time to view this image and read this little description.

Car/ passenger ferry in West cork.

Hey guys, it's been a minute. Life has been weird and crazy for most of us lately with this whole virus pandemic. Here I am doing my part to self isolate and social distance the best I can. Not sure what the future holds but I'm trying to take this time to start creating more and re-visit some of my old favorite platforms like this one. I'm going to do my best to keep uploading here. Stay tuned. :)
