Taken on the way home near the Scottish Highland village of Lairg stands this isolated little cottage. Little did I know at the time how my interpretation of Isolation would change over just a few weeks with the current outbreak of the Covid19 pandemic.
Still I am sure that this building will remain after the virus has passed as hopefully will all of those who take the time to view this image and read this little description.
In the days of slide film and medium format cameras! This is a blast from the past, shot during a holiday in Tuscany back in 2005. In those days I carried 3 camera bodies (medium format, xPan and 35mm). It cost me more in excess luggage on a well known budget airline than the air fare itsef.
I do so love Tuscany, with the rolling green fields, cypress trees perched on the top and my favourtite flower, the poppy.
Brighton Old West Pier. Last one - promise.

Because of the situation that is currently affecting the World.
Remaining indoors as much as possible and social isolation is currently being enforced Worldwide in order to flatten the curve.
So for my next uploads I will be taking a different approach since I won't be out in the streets much for the upcoming month(s).
I will be focusing more on the concept of being quarantined and social isolation. So most of the photos will be indoors which I think will be an interesting challenge.
I hope everyone is doing well and I wish everyone a fantastic weekend.
Much love to all!
In self-imposed isolation it is good to have something to puzzle with. Photoshop makes it feel less boring. Then we'll see what the Corona and Photoshop combination results in.
Have a safe day.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Secluded from the busy street in an alleyway and isolated from the bustle with headphones, I just loved the inclusion of the alley in this shot. Enjoy!
Isolation.

The San Justa lift stands isolated between the tall buildings in the foreground. Designed in 1902 by Raoul Mesnier de Ponsard who was an admirer of Gustave Eiffel. Explaining the similarities between the two structures. Creating a graphic black & white version of the original I got rid of all the distracting colours of the outfits and bags of all the tourists. Bringing it back to the essence of design and the isolation...
Stay healthy!

Conditions were less than ideal while out on this snow covered ridge, with almost zero visibility, wind, and icy pellet like snow. Shot around 8:30PM, 3 minute exposure.
