Looking for the milky was in early May is more difficult than I expected. Firstly the Milky Way is far more to the east than later in the year. Secondly the weather was disappointing (to the east). The incoming clouds can be seen at the horizon already here.

Another Friday afternoon .. Another week down ,., also the last week of winter for us here in the land of Aus.
Home babysitting the dogs today .. they had 'that' visit to the vet yesterday and are confined to quarters with their cones of shame for a couple of days.
Noticed the cloud building when my partner got home and made a run for the lake with literally no time to spare .. I've shot these rocks a few times before but the tide was up enough to make it a lil more interesting.

A return trip to the local farm with the Irix 15mm on the K-1, the pair look quite impressive together. The lighting wasn't great but with a little work in PS the result is quite pleasing. Pretty pleased with the resolution the lens is capable of too.
A few days before we returned to lockdown - Going to remember this one for some time - one of the high points of the year for me thus far.

Talk about an incredible night of shooting. I went out to the Big Sable Lighthouse last night and all I can say is WOW. Such an incredible lighthouse to see....especially on your birthday.... :) Left yesterday about 10am, drove the 7 plus hours to get there, shot for about 8 hours then drove 7 hours back home. I have to say though...it was 100% worth it! Definitely want to go back even though the lighting was a bit tricky to navigate there I still made it work! :D
