Still getting comfortable with the 11mm Irix and learning what works well for Ultra-Wide compositions
Spenge, Hücker Ascher Moorsee, OWL
A strong wind from east blew the whole time. I shot several series with different settings. That meant my shutter was open for most of the time and so by chance I could get the shower of shooting stars.

RELIGION VS SCIENCE
Two opposing or perhaps complementary visions of the world. Each one, is his inner self, has the answer.
Photo of this past weekend, taken in the hermitage of Lo Pareja (Spain). For the Startrail, 80 shots have been made (equivalent to 40 minutes of exposure), illuminating the first and last shots. Illumination of the inside with warm light, and outside with cold light helped by the illumination of the moon to 66%.

as you can see the clouds were out on Monday night. I was testing a new lens for night photography, the Firefly by Irix 15mm f2.4
Back at the lake again this afternoon ... cloud predicted wasn't as heavy as it was with just a chance of late colour.

A late night trip up to Sharp Top in Peaks of Otter with my irix 15 and a little flashlight yields scenes like this!
Horseshoe Bend just outside of Page Az is a pretty amazing little stop. You park in a parking lot, pay them $10, and walk maybe a mile and you are at this little lookout. I feel like the boat and the kayaks give you an idea of just how damn big this is. I'm shooting really wide so it may not look like it but those boats (and the little outhouse in the bottom) should give you some sort of idea as to just how big this is.

I finally made it out for some astrophotography again. Kind of the same as one of my last trips....go to work most of the day, leave for the location after work, drive 6 hours one way, take a bunch of pictures, then drive back home. I got home at about 9am. lol But, it was all worth it.
The skies are incredibly dark here. In fact, they are so dark that the light from the stars lights up the ground as you can see in the picture. These were taken during the new moon. I hope you all enjoy. There will be a timelapse at some point....
