This was the second visit I had down to the covered bridge at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. I shot towards the North with this one and after 550 images and about 2 hours and 40 minutes you get a beautiful star trail.

Totally omitted the moon blowing out - still I'm ok with that on this one, a bit rushed for time as I didn't have the place to myself so couldn't spend too much time chimping and recomposing - fingers crossed for next time.
Sky was raw developed in DxO PhotoLab 6 to .dng files and stacked in StarryLandscapeStacker to .tiff.
Foreground raw developed to .tiff files in DxO PhotoLab 6.
Stacked and blended in Affinity Photo 2, no colour grading on this one just a few tweaks in develop with Affinity on the inidividual layers on it's way to Topaz AI for a mild touch up then home to PhotoLab.
Ultra wide angle shot looking up in the inner yard of Chilehaus in Hamburg. The photo has been corrected with Irix' own lens profile in order to correct (most of) the distortion.
However, I decided to not remove the lens flares in the open middle of the frame, as they are perfectly symmetric and kind of enhance the convergence.
Irix de 15mm es un lente objetivo excelente pero su gran diametro impide usar filtros circulares de densidad neutra (ND) convencionales. Esta imagen de un atardecer en la playa Mar Brava de Carelmapu, en la costa a unos 100 kms de Puerto Varas, fue realizada apilando 10 capturas en PS para obtener el efecto sedado similar al de una captura larga exposicion. El resultado fue interesante pero pienso que la tecnica requerira nuevo intentos para obtener el efecto deseado.

Irix 15mm is an excellent objective lens but its large diameter prevents the use of conventional circular neutral density filters (ND). This image of a sunset on the Mar Brava beach of Carelmapu, on the coast about 100 kms from Puerto Varas, was done stacking 10 shots in PS to obtain the silky effect similar as long exposure capture you can get. The result was interesting but I think the technique will require new attempts to get the desired effect
First shoot with the Irix 21/1.4 this morning - not really testing anymore than the feel of it .. Nice and sharp all over and I love the focussing ring movement on the Irix lenses thus far.

bit of a palavar finding this tree but after many hours wandering around some plantations I found it. it's even more impressive in person.
it inspired me to upgrade a lens, I traded in my apsc fisheye for a full frame Irix Firefly 15mm f2.4 and I came back and re shot it.

The crescent Moon's a bit overblown but with Venus and Aldebaran (alpha Tauri) it formed a wonderful triangle in the dawn sky this morning. Part of Orion is visible on the right, the Pleiades (7 Sisters) can be made out to the left of the Moon. Beach and wave lighting from car headlights.

Sunrise shoot with folks from Focus Australia, this morning at Wollongongs lighthouse point, got there just before 5am headed down to the 'Nuns' pool - a lil tricky in the dark but worth the effort.

Single frame raw developed in DxO PhotoLab 6, colour graded in Colour Efex Pro 5, a mild tweak in Topaz Denoise and finished off back in PhotoLab.
or 'Milky Way Over Bass Point' - had a couple of goes at getting this one over the years - between dust from the quarry and car headlight/streetlight pollution it's a tad tricky.
Anyhow here tis hope you like it all the same :-)

Bought this Irix 11mm for it's weather-resistance, eons ago, and haven't even bothered testing that resistance until tonight!
