“Some birds are not meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go, or when you open the cage to feed them they somehow fly out past you. And the part of you that knows it was wrong to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, the place where you live is that much more drab and empty for their departure.”

INTROSPECTIVE

If I climbed the highest mountain until I couldn't see the ground

If I swam the deepest ocean to a love that wasn't found

If I dug the deepest hole to buried treasure underground

If I sung the sweetest melody that echoed all around

If I screamed the loudest scream but didn't make a sound

If I recited all the poetry from my heart that knows no bounds

Would I see you on the mountain or would you still be on the ground

Would you swim beside me with the dolphins that we found

Would you open up the treasure chest with the key left on the mound

Would you sing in perfect harmony and dance and turn around

Would you fill the air with your sweet voice or leave the emptiness abound

Would you make my poems rhyme with yours with sweetness of your sounds

What if I never climb the mountain, what if I never swim the sea

What if I never lift a shovel or dig a tunnel straight to thee

What if I never sing a lullaby or whisper in your ear

What if the scream I make is as silent as my gently flowing tears

What if the poems, prose and words I write are simply emptiness

What if loneliness and sorrow end in silence; empty promises

Could we climb a different mountain; find a different kind of love

Could we swim in warmer water; where the sunshine is above

Could we bury all the treasures of a love that cannot be

Could we sing a different song of friendship; harmony

Could we cease to scream inside our heads and find peace in silent reverie

Could we form a Poet's Corner and speak quietly of our hearts so free

I like to think there is a better way, where words are not required

I like to think that I can convey my feelings with my eyes

I like to think that unconditional love means I can let you go

I like to think that you will live a life so happy and I can make it so

I like to think that in many years I will still be here

I like to think my memories of you will keep me warm, my dear

So with these thoughts and words of mine I journey on my way

So I can fight the fight within me, so I can have my say

So I can find the strength I know is waiting for the chance

So I can find the will in me, to let go; begin a different dance

So I can find a better way to find true happiness

So I can find the final hurdle and leap it; then I am blessed.

It's incredible how Velvet Bohème has truly been inspiring me, not only creatively-wise, but even inviting introspection. SL is really a magical virtual world and our talented creators bring us so much joy that I feel blessed and thankful. Namaste!

There's a ton of goodness in this picture, pretty much all released at Velvet Bohème. I fell in love with Not Found Maple skin that I am wearing, especially the freckles version, and I think I will be wearing this for a while. I am also in love with my Tiriel tattoo from Noya, part of their collaboration with high v. for this boho chic fest. LODE, of course, never disappoints, and their Wildflower hair accessory is just perfection.

My outfit is from Fashionably Dead, called Ecletic Boho Set, and I am wearing the Celestial Cord Shorts & Western Cap Tee, but the set includes a gorgeous retro crochet cardi you will not want to miss.

The Azoury Bohelys sandals are stunning and I paired them with Meva leg bands and loved how they looked combined.

No wonder my inventory numbers are close to 300K (shhhh, our secret, I will deny ever saying this), who can resist all this stunning decor? NOMAD's Bohemian raft is super cute and available in PG and Adult versions, and looks perfect on dry ground and water! Express your gratitude and recognize and honor the sacred spark within you with KOPFKINO's Awareness set, that is exquisitely well done. CONCEPT gacha LACALA is another jaw dropping set, but that does not surprise me, I have a TON of their creations and love each single piece.

amidst the towering architecture of munich, a lone orthodox jewish man strides forward with a sense of purpose, casting a sharp silhouette against the cold, imposing stone of the building. the stark lines and grid-like windows frame his path, juxtaposing the rigidity of the man-made structure with the fluidity of human motion. this scene captures the eternal struggle between the abstract beliefs that drive us and the concrete realities we navigate daily. the interplay of light and shadow, of human and architecture, creates a moment of introspection and resolve.

Know your Exits

Emerging from the dim light of the underpass, where the city's heartbeat pulses faintly against the cold concrete, everyone seems lost in their thoughts. What paths lay ahead of you? This direction is not just a way out of my place of shadows and echoes but a chance to make an existential choice. Exits in my urban chasm are not merely roads and streets; they are the decisions that define me, the moments of truth where my very being is distilled into action.

As I ponder existence and essence, I question whether freedom of choice is the most authentic expression. My choice carves a path that leads me back to the same variant of existence, and I never seem to leave. What are the invisible threads that connect my choices to a predetermined destiny?

I take a step forward with a deep breath, embracing the uncertainty that ensures my return. Lost in the labyrinthine streets, shadowed alleys, and false exits, I promise myself liberation and self-discovery as I take the next step that could redefine me.

Tulips were introduced to the Western world by the Viennese ambassador to Turkey, Augier Ghislain de Busbecq, who wrote of seeing the plants in Edirne, Turkey, in 1551 and who later sent some seeds to Austria. The arrival at Antwerp in 1562 of a cargo of tulip bulbs from Constantinople (now Istanbul) marked the beginning of the tulip horticultural industry in Europe. A speculative frenzy over tulips in the Netherlands in 1633–37 is now known as the Tulip Mania.
