To be honest I don't know if to continue this "365" anymore. I don't seem to have the mojo and missing a day or too is fine, but I missed s many already. I feel like all picture I take are lame, that I don't have any ideas. I don't know....
Walking around Portland with visiting friends, we came upon children playing in a fountain at the waterfront park. I like the visual metaphors it conjures up.Taken with my iphone.
Of all the slots in Las Vegas, the slot Antelope Canyon nearby (kinda) was the most awesome one. I love the contours in this shot and I believe I was looking up at the little bit of sky that peeked through the canyon.
"Introspection" an installation, part of Winter Stations, on the Toronto waterfront. Bright red box on the exterior, shiny reflective surface on the inside. Designed by a team from the Daniels Architecture school at University of Toronto.

Introspection is the examination of one's own conscious thoughts and feelings. In psychology the process of introspection relies exclusively on observation of one's mental state, while in a spiritual context it may refer to the examination of one's soul. Introspection is closely related to human self-reflection and is contrasted with external observation. (Schultz, D. P. et al, 2012)
"Un des plaisirs de l'introspection est de chercher ce que nous avons de commun avec cet autre que nos proches voient en nous-mêmes."

"Lots of fresh air", he was told. "Green spaces, spend time in them", it was suggested. "Sunlight. Lots and lots of it", it was recommended. And so Mr. LB ventured forth in his quest for healing. In his quest to re-establish the core of his foundation so mercilessly shattered. What was important to him? What did he hold dear? What was his bedrock? The levels of introspection were phenomenally high.

We were lucky to find the gorillas first outside the reserve in the largely open farmland. The lighting was perfect. At least for the others with slower lenses, and some even with 'point and shoots', it was a good chance to get some reasonable shots too. The best tip I read on the internet was to under expose by -1EV. Everyone else with their cams set up without this one stop exposure compensation got grey gorilla photographs, as the exposure system tried to compensate for the deep black gorillas. Continued...

Perfect during this period of time that combines a solar eclipse, a new 'super' moon and the spring equinox. The Mind Unleashed explaines these celestial happenings rather nicely: themindunleashed.org/2015/03/everything-you-need-to-know-...
So the other day I was giving thought to my public online presence and I'm really not sure where to take it. It's a bit disheartening when you invest time in creating a video or similar and because of algorithums I only get a small number of views. Certainly I lost my blogging mojo, again when a new post would get me about 12 views.
I don't really want to end up like so many other channels I used to like with click bait (reacts to reacts and other such content) or begging for comments on Instagram to improve their ranking.
I guess this ties in to the issues I have with self promotion, I find it hard to shout about the things I'm good at.

After a day of introspection, I decided a re-edit was in order. This is a brighter version.

A self-portrait that delves into the depths of the self, as the face is captured within the eye, symbolizing introspection and the examination of one's innermost thoughts and emotions.
